The only thing worth collecting is art; everything else is very much amateur hour and a crappy investment, after taking into account the time value of money.
one could also argue the only thing worth doing in your spare time is jerking off, but would you believe theres anti-social faggot losers that have a problem with that too
he should have never opened the boxes for the games he has
but...
this 'used' collection is still extremely valuable....he will probably clean up imo
pretty impressive
he seems to have all the controllers and consoles and pretty much every game ever made

Zelda's Adventure for Phillips CD-i going for $450. Damn. I believe it's the only Zelda game released on a non-Nintendo platform.
I remember when those PSPs were given away on NWP. I think you got one if you signed up through the Party affiliate link. I don't know, it was before I was even a mod there.
I had a ton of Atari 2600 games, but honestly I have no idea where any of it went. I wonder if my parents threw it out. The original 2600 I had in the late 70s broke, and I got a new one. Actually it was called the Atari VCS originally, and the 2600 name came later. So my first one was techincally an Atari VCS, and the replacement was a 2600. I liked the look of the VCS better (though it was bigger), but I think they changed it because it was a bit dated looking, even by early 80s standards.
I don't think he'll find a buyer and is also asking way too much.
Look through his eBay feedback and you will see you can buy lots of games for as little as a buck a piece in large lots, even less. Some platforms the price is higher then others... not including rare or desirable games of course.
Collectors like to start their own collections and collect, not simply purchase a complete or near complete collection.
I remember when I discovered emulators back in the 28.8 days. It was nesticle and genecyst. One of my most HOLY SHIT moments was finding these. The first game I downloaded was Sonic 3D Blast and it sucked. Still, the games were complete and like 1 mb so you could just download whatever you wanted. I eventually got a gamepad for the pc and it worked awesomely.
Since then, every time I get a new PC, within 1 day I get EVERY nes, snes, genesis, turbo grafx 16 you name it game installed. Then I have like 10,000 games. I never even really play them. I just like having them in case ebola takes out the world. Having all these games makes you realize that 99.99 pct of them are shit. Still, lots of fun to load up some shitty game and just look at it, hear the music and stuff.
I am kinda rambling because you hit a nerd spot in me. I came here to say it's not the same on these new emulators as the old dos ones. \\ I use an xbox 360 controller for my PC and there is a little lag on the controller. If you grew up on Mario games you can def tell the difference. It is so much better to play on the console for this reason. Also, controller shape matters. If I won the powerball I would do the same damn thing.
Side rant: my mom sold our NES and games at a garage sale because 'we never played it anymore'. She was right, but as soon as she told me I KNEW i would want it because it meant so much to me as a kid.
Side rant 2: My big brother is 8 years older than me. When I was like 7 he challenged me to race him up the stairs. If I beat him, he would let me have the nintendo in my room. I fucking snaked him so hard and beat him to the top and he just welched and laughed in my face. I cried.
