Windows 9 video leaked, appears to validate good/bad alternating Windows version theory

    Start button is back.

Looks way better than Windows 8.

Once again, Microsoft seems to be on the path to releasing a good version based upon a previous fail version of an OS.

This pattern started with Windows 98....

    98: Good
    2000: Bad
    XP: Good
    Vista: Bad
    7: Good
    8: Bad
    9: ??? (probably good)

It's adorable. They're adding in all the features the OSX had 10 years ago... it's about time. I actually think it's a good thing. They tried coming up with something different from Mac and failed, now they are back to copying them exactly... and in the end who wins there is us the consumers.

As somebody who works on both literally all day long.

Macs require so many more mouse or keyboard interactions to do the same thing that a PC can do it will make you want to murder somebody after awhile.

On the flip side PCs organize content like complete shit and don't allow for an efficient workflow process.

I am interested in Windows 9 if they are stealing the OS X content organization and may flip and make a PC my main workstation and my Macbook my second workstation.

    I would change that to:

    98: Good
    ME: Bad
    XP: Good
    Vista: Bad
    7: Good
    8: Bad
    9: ??? (probably good)

2000 wasn't really marketed for the general home user audience like XP was, and also Windows 2000 was actually not bad.

He may have had the wrong name and just guessed it was Windows 9.

But if the guy really faked that video, Microsoft should hire him.

We will just have to wait and see.

Windows ME was the biggest piece of shit Microsoft ever made and it's not even close. I don't know how that junk ever got released in the first place.

I still use 7 so i'm good on all that 10 bullshit. Only way I go to the other is if I get a touch screen. Word on the street is that 10 is way smoother than 8.

Honestly 10 looks a lot better than 8, which I thought was terrible.

The return of the start button -- and the acceptance of the fact that we aren't yet ready to turn our laptops into tablets just yet -- is already a big improvement by itself.

So why are they giving it away as a free upgrade? To avoid discouraging new PC purchases prior to 10's release?

    Yosemite is sucking hind ass.

I just read that they are supposed to make Windows into a service instead of an OS. I am not sure how it is going to work out, I imagine they will be charging for licenses for enterprise users and business vs personal user.

I am actually a little stoked about the free Win 10 upgrade though. Obviously 8 is shit, I just got a new computer with 8.1 and apparently all the shit that annoys me will be taken out, i.e. the stupid app bullshit where it opens up and fills up the whole screen with the app instead of opening it in a new window and such.

I haven't documented things but my Mac Mini is running slower than an Imac which i used to use. The mail programs are fucking up, can't send one day ok the next.
I often listen to podcasts at night that used to run consecutively, now they do as they
please and I've gone through all he settings several times.
Fucking same thing with the screen saver and energy savers, just not listening to me.

There may be something moving to a new residence although I figured being in a penthouse would be beneficial.
