I saw it in 2000 as part of Spike & Mike's Sick and Twisted Animation Festival. During this one I seriously thought that I was going to pass out because I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe.
I just read Hertzfeldt's Wiki page. I didn't realize that he is 38. Billy's Balloon was nominated for an award at Cannes when he was 22. That's impressive.
