    Druff, Reminder

Clayton Kershaw has a losing record in the post season with an ERA over 4 runs per game. Not to mention he was embarrassed last year by the Cardinals.

Might be more of a Dan Marino, Peyton Manning type, a fabulous regular season performer but does not have the juice when it counts most.

    Not concerned.

He has been in 3 postseasons: 2008, 2009, and 2013.

In '08 and '09, he wasn't fully developed as a pitcher yet. He was also quite young (like Gobboboy).

In 2013 he was sent out on 3 days rest to pitch game 5 of the NLDS, partially because Mattingly would get a guaranteed $1 million if the Dodgers made the NLCS that year. He pitched okay, but was clearly tired.

I think that by the time he got to NLCS Game 6, he was worn out.

It's hilarious that we as a society think everyone can be a dr, a lawyer, an engineer. Some people are just fucking stupid. Why can't we just accept that?

It's pretty sad when you have to try and throw Mattingly under the bus for putting him in to pitch that game. I'm really sure he did it because of 1 million and not because they thought he was something he's not in the playoffs.

    You're incredible

There was a lot of speculation about the $1 million being a big factor, so I don't see why you find this statement so "incredible".

The rumblings around LA were that Mattingly would be fired if the Dodgers lost the NLDS, so he took a "I want to win this game, the rest of the postseason be damned" attitude. I can't say this for sure, but there's a good chance of it.

The point is that we here in the Midwest are not a boastful people. We’re humble and quietly go about our business, inventing the things you use every day, entertaining you, finding employment for your citizens and handing you losses on the baseball field regularly.

Waaaaay, waaaaay, waaaaay, waaaay too small a sample size to make any definitive conclusions. Let's wait until at least 36 starts & 240 innings before rushing to judgement.

He sure is. Cleaned up nicely betting against Kershaw twice. Even the oddsmakers got smart and didn't give Kershaw a -200 line the 2nd time around. Biggest choker in the history of MLB playoffs.
