Total Rewards Tricks??

So Ive been getting TR crap in the mail every month for the past 5 years or so from the Harrah's in North Kansas City where i play exclusively. Ive never used any of these offers. Typically Sunday thru Thursday nights offer is a free room. Buffets are always free, etc. Earlier this year after getting a TR credit card and taking a trip to Vegas, I've become a platinum member (about halfway to 7 star BTW).

So Monday night the Chiefs are playing New England at home. I decided to go to the game and for the first time ever use a free Harrahs room. I call them and am told they are sold out of all rooms, any type, etc. But hotels are never completely sold out. So whats my play here Druff? How do I "convince" Harrahs to give me my damn room?

If you're a Platinum, you are nowhere near Seven Stars. Diamond, which is higher than Platinum, is only 10% to Seven Stars!

PLOL is correct that you should call 1-800-CAESARS, pretend not to have a TR card yet, and see if they have any rooms left.

They are also able to refuse to honor free room offers if they feel the hotel is starting to fill up, which might be happening here.

If there are rooms available for purchase, you should call a host and see if they can get you in. However, if you haven't had much actual play lately (or if your play was fairly low limit), they aren't likely to help you.

There is a misperception that your Total Rewards tier level determines how many comps you will get. It doesn't. The tier level only determines your guaranteed benefits, but often it occurs where players at lower tier levels (who are playing actively) are getting much better offers than the Seven Stars who haven't played in awhile.
