    Netflix A++

It had been my opinion that Netflix was really kind of home for the b movie, but that has changed.

Just saw "A Fantastic Fear of Everything" and it is one of those stories that get's better as each minute passes.

I didn't want it to end.

Hilarious, crazy, bizarre, just my cup of tea.

If you like Coen Bros. films you'll get along with this one just fine.

I just saw that it got panned by the critics. They got it wrong on this one.

    ALAN PARTRIDGE

This one did get a good rating from critics (88%) Rotten Tomatoes and
    it's accurate.

Bizarre British humour based on an egotistical DJ and shit happens.
    Well worth the watch.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

This is one sweet story. The ultimate date movie.

Fantastic visuals thanks to Greenland and Iceland and this beautiful creature whom I've never heard of before

Ok, ran into a b-plus, but it starred John C. Reilly and I can't get enough of this guy.

As good as Seymour Hoffman IMO, but has the comedic extra.

I'll be jiggered. I just watched the two best documentaries I've ever seen, back to back on Netflix.

No, I don't have a job at Netflix.

If you don't watch these two videos, which very likely are on Youtube or at your locale torrent shop,

then you should gas yourself now.

    The first.....

    Particle Fever

I feel like, and possibly am a moron, for not realizing the historic events put forth in this documentary about

the Particle Accelerator experiment in Cern Switzerland. I knew "about" it but I had no clue. This is the Netflix description of it.

This film gives audiences a front row seat to a significant and inspiring scientific breakthrough as it happens. Particle Fever follows six brilliant scientists during the launch of the Large Hadron Collider, marking the start-up of the biggest and most expensive experiment in the history of the planet. As they seek to unravel the mysteries of the universe, 10,000 scientists from over 100 countries joined forces in pursuit of a single goal: to recreate conditions that existed just moments after the Big Bang and find the Higgs boson, potentially explaining the origin of all matter. But our heroes confront an even bigger challenge: have we reached our limit in understanding why we exist?

The second.....watched immediately after the first by chance,

    Ayahuasca, Vine of the Soul.

    Both are highly rated.

The two documentaries really looking for the answer to the big question. Both excellent.

Also saw a Keanu Reeves movie that was definitely b, but, well, whatever....

So I'm getting hooked on the docs as of late and I noticed one I'd heard about called,

    "The West"
by Ken Burns. Same guy who does the baseball docs.......Anyway I'm only up to 5 of 8, I believe, and it's fascinating, compelling and repulsive.

Mankind is still pretty primitive if you know what I mean.

Fair bit on the Buffalo. Coming from a town that was originally called Pile of Bones made it all the more interesting to me.

Hope updating this thread isn't bothering anyone?............. what they hell eh?

Ok, back on form. More of the documentary style of entertainment. Keep in mind, I really haven't watched TV for a few years and we won't talk about all the hassles with the cable companies.

Cosmos, with Neil deGrasse Tyson, is special. I don't remember if I saw any of Carl Sagan's shows but I know him from popular media etc, etc.

The information you get from this new series is the star of the show. Grasping complicated theories in math or physics is not regular fair these days so the producers of this show get an A for keeping it more or less simple.

I hate the use of the word awesome because it has become a catchphrase, but almost everything you learn in this
    series is awesome.

I am also a big fan of Tyson's Cosmos, but I suggest you give the original series by Carl Sagan a look. Despite being dated, its presentation is even better (imo). His books Cosmos and Pale Blue Dot are excellent as well if you're into cosmology.
