    Mexico is Really Strange

But I do want to say that life is a lot less stressful and the weather is glorious

yes it sucks that I can't read the signs and don't speak the language and my ISP is ghetto as fuck

but today I spent 4 hours on the coast fishing for fresh Halibut.....waist deep in some gorgeous surf overlooking the mountains south of here and the coastline of Ensenada

keeping my head down for abalone sized clams

surf about 90 seconds from my place is busting 4-6 in the morning

will def be out there with the Winster at 8-10 am even though she is a chickenshit when it gets big

I love the coastline here because its a sandy bottom, not coral or jagged rocks

fishing today I had a 3 foot sting ray cruise by my ankles...I was knee deep at the time

during low tide is all baby clams.....you walk on them like sand.

also this morning was out walking my dog on the beach and saw a dozen black bottle nosed dolphins playing in the waves

    very cool

had baked clams for lunch and a huge carne asada burrito with papas con queso for dinner

    obv mucho cerveza

    lots of pros

    lots of cons too

ftpjesus: n-word Dolphins Rep.. Sidenote sounds alot like Rocky Point aka Puerto Penasco on the Sea of Cortez. Really nice and relaxing and way far from the insanity of the avg US City

I'd much rather eat at Chipotle' than most local restaurants

    however...

I've been lucky enough to stumble across a few local GEMS

    been eating very well lately

this little roadside stand run by a an old school Mexican wearing a white cowboy hat sells these fucking incredible clam/jumbo shrimp/octopus tostadas with sliced guac...just wow....70 pesos.. about 5 bucks....I eat there for lunch 3 days a week

they open at 4 PM...but there is this place near me that makes these incredible bacon wrapped jalapenos stuffed with cheese...they also do up nice FRESH carne' asada burritos...holy fuck.....the place rocks

they are always so busy...takes 20 minutes to get your order

    WELL WORTH THE WAIT

the man behind the grill does up these ridiculous triple decker 'hamburgesas'

I'm gonna have to get a pic soon for you fools...haven't ordered one yet. they are circus-like huge

wish they were open at 12 for lunch...but he caters to the night crowd

they give you free papas con queso....(cheese fries) while you wait for your order on a busy corner

    I got the grande carne burrito tonight....it was massive....80 pesos....about 6 bucks

    unreal

was like carrying a bowling ball it was so much food

I love the idea of living a sort of bohemian lifestyle in a foreign country and just drinking/smoking all day, eating, and screwing random chicks at night. However, it is crazy how much I need the Internet to survive and could never live in any city where the Internet wasn't super solid. The Internet going in an out would tilt the shit out of me.

I remember in "Full House" when Stephanie and Michelle Tanner thought they were going on a plane ride from San Francisco to Oakland. Instead the plane was heading to AUCKLAND!!! It was quite the debacle for the Tanner girls that day, let me tell ya! Danny was none to pleased with this. Hilarity ensued.

winnie will be barking on the shoreline too much of a chickenshit to go out in the big surf

which is understandable considering she got totally drilled by a 6 footer that blind sided her in Malibu 6 years ago

    winnie never forgets

I guess the best way to summarize it is this...

    there is some upside

    and some downside

I'm still sizing up the pros and cons

meanwhile...the weather and my beach is spectacular and the food is great

rent is cheap and met a lot of nice people (and a lot of degenerate fucks)

    playing it by ear

    on the positive side

    today at about noon...

I'm gonna be rocking some ice cold beers and a great lunch and then hitting some massive fucking waves

weather projection in Ensenada manana: mid 80's and not a cloud in the sky...slight breeze

Sounds great. I have a meeting in some office with a bunch of attorneys and their only goal is to be a larger asshole than the guy next to him. Luckily for me, this will last two hours then I will be heading to the nearest bar.

There is a lot to be said to saying fuck it and then traveling the world and not giving a fuck. The key is having friends, hot chicks and money on those travels. If I was missing one of those, I would get depressed rather quickly no matter where i was.

Get the word lens app on your phone, you point the camera at the foreign language and it translates it into English
