One thing that bothers me is how the 9/11 videos are generally suppressed from the public now, because they are "too disturbing" or will get people angry.

This is a mistake, as the passage of time numbs people to the continued threat of terrorism. While the US has done a great job preventing similar attacks for the past 13 years, the threat still remains. The US is fortunate that a big ocean separates it and the Muslim terrorist countries, but if a network gets started here (especially of homegrown terrorists), watch out.

On the day, I ran the VCR, lol, realizing how big this was historically.

I could not bring myself to watch that tape. I saw too much as it was and

it is forever in my memory bank.

BTW why do people want to watch a person being beheaded?

The terrorist threat is obviously very real on both sides of the ocean. But is it really as large as we're led to believe?

I'm not so sure.


In the UK we're constantly told that terrorists are amongst us and could launch an attack at any moment. But even if I was a terrorist working alone - I'm pretty sure I could create havoc and destruction without using your typical 'terrorist type weapons'


Like we're all these suicide bombers that we were promised after 9/11?

Why have there been so few terrorist attacks since 9/11?

Hard line islamists working alone could easily create mass panic on the streets before getting detected.

So where are they all? Have our governments really prevented all of these attacks through their courage and expertise?


Or have they created most of this fear by themselves, while in the process stripping us from many of our civil rights..While not to mention getting us bogged down in countless conflicts that seem to only serve the few and NOT the many.


So like I said, terrorism is without doubt a very real threat. But I'm just not having it's anywhere near the scale we're led to believe.
