Giant moon to appear in the sky on Saturday night

At 8:35pm PDT on Saturday, the moon will appear the largest it's been in a long time.

The moon was one of the first recognizable objects to Benjamin as an infant (You'd ask him, "Where the moon?", and he'd look up to the sky directly at it), so I think he'll especially enjoy it.

Or, as I heard on a sports talk show yesterday, "Everyone loves a big moon."

Can't really argue with that.

Todd, how do you respond to allegations that you stated the moon would be huge tonight when in fact it is right around normal size? How could you possibly run a forum about fraud when you yourself stated the moon would be bigger tonight! I am shocked and appalled

Looks unusually big to me, you almost need sun glasses to look at it directly, for real, check it out.

I heard about this on the news earlier yesterday and had clear visibility. I wasn't like blown away by it but it definitely appeared to be bigger and brighter. I tried to snap a picture with my piece of shit blackberry but it came out rather unimpressive.
