tournament rulings on the fly

i was sitting 11 handed waiting to go to one table. i'm below avg stack around 10bb trying to get to the full table and extend things.

i keep stalling an the big stacks keep calling clock. this goes on 3/4 times in a row. then one of the crew comes over and says the clock is going to be 30 seconds the next time u do this, and then 15 the next time...i flip out..i yell at this bitch for enforcing this rules made on the fly to prevent me from using my time...

i eventually made the final table and some jackass that looked like jerry garcia had the gall to say if you look at the back of your ticket it will tell you they could d whatever they wanted to. i flipped out out this guy and told him to shut his mouth and was ready to go.......this isn't a baseball ticket..this was some senior official making a ruling that didn't exist to fuck me..and this bitch was enforcing it, saying it wasn't her call..

i was like ..wtf.......i ended up bubbling in 7th 60 players w/. AQ vs AT and 66.../..fucking 6th place paid..

this ruling was awful....what kind of a case to i have.

no..not to make the money..make the final table..i was playing within the rules, so i wasn't 5 handed, and have to shove w/ less then ideal hands....only person that the pissed was the big stacks...i was just being the plumber for all the short stacks and being calling out on it..

Agreed it was bullshit you wouldn't have even gotten fucked that badly online because the clock is fixed and shit but sadly yes these peon TDs and floor people who many have no clue about poker as a whole do this shit and don't care.. Its the nature of the beast sadly. Obviously wouldn't happen in a bigger named regional/circuit event by one of the big guys even HPT..

Playing Devils advocate however if you were been seen as constantly tanking to ride the clock I can also see why they might get pissed off. Sitting in a hand you obviously aren't going to call with hoping somebodyelse goes busto tends to not play well.. at 10bbs commonsense says all in or fold no 3rd choice basically so it was probably seen as you abusing the priviledge and holding up the game (not saying I agree with it but just as a devils advocate viewpoint of how others may have perceived your actions at the table)

I love this ruling. I think a decent tournament director should make rulings that are in the best interest of the game. If I was playing a rinky dink tourney and some asshole was stalling, I'd be calling the clock immediately, too. Play like a man, pussy.

Im with Mulva. If the rule is someone can call the clock on you and the clock is one minute, then thats the rule. Telling someone their clock will be smaller each time is bullshit. I would call and bitch and moan Druff style until something was done about this. Anything short of the TD being terminated and Mulva being awarded 3rd place money would be completely unacceptable, IMO.
