Which Acts Should I See At This Festival?

    http://www.madeinamericafest.com/mainlanding

I tend to lean towards harder music but I'm sure there are some good acts here I've never heard of. Here's who is on the list to see so far:

    Imagine Dragons
    Steve Aoki
    Rise Against
    Weezer
Sublime With Rome (hope the last 3 don't all go on at the same time or I'm screwed)
    Cypress Hill
Wife wants to see John Mayer but we're going to Jack Johnson two days before so I'm not sure how much mellow I can handle
    Kendrick Lamar
    Metric
    MuteMath

Who else should I make a point of seeing? DRK? I have no idea who these bands are.

Metric should be higher up on your list, good act with a really hot lead singer.

That crowd for that festival is going to be the suck. No thanks. The amount of people holding up their l
Phones to take video of a shitty show will be very high. That drives me nuts to no end.

Mayer isnt going to be that mellow. He started to steer more a bit to the Grateful Dead recently, so you might get a GD cover. Bluesy and Rock. Maybe 2-3 mellow songs.

Aoki will be decent EDM. Actually, most that you listed are decent. Im not going to be a good person to ask for this, because I dont care for Imagine Dragons (poppy-calculated bullshit), Kendrick Lamar (over rated, boring stage presence), Cypress Hill (very good back in the day, fat overweight nostalgic act that will be sloppy on stage).

Weezer I have seen live. They are really good, but It was kind of robotic on stage. Aoki will have all the females in the crowd, so that would be where you should go to grind up against some Molly'd starry-eyed sluts. I've never seen Rise Against, Metric or Mute Math.

Unless you're trying to get Aoki into a poker game afterwards, I'd scratch his phony ass of the list.

Thanks chaps. That's what I'm looking for....music I don't normally listen to or bands I don't know about.

FTR that is not the order I want to see those bands. I was just going down the list on the website. I will move metric up in my mental list.

I'm looking forward to seeing weezer. Never had a chance to see them. I've seen Rise Against and they put on an awesome show. Surprisingly I've also seen Imagine Dragons and they are really good in concert. My kids are big fans so that shit kind of seeps into your subconscious. Before you know it you're a middle aged man listening to kids bop.

DRK that makes me feel better about Mayer. Jam bands FTW. I told the wife we should eat some caps or e but then I realized I didn't want to babysit. No grinding on Molly'd out sluts except for one. Who won't be Molly'd.

Yeah he's playing with more of the hard rock edge of the grateful dead now, definitely not mellow.

Oh, and I just saw that GIRL TALK was going to be there.

He does some pretty cool mashups. Invites about 50 people up on stage.

lol fucking girl talk, a couple of my friends went crazy for that shit a couple summers ago. I found it to be mostly annoying.

I've never seen Weezer live, so I would probably make that one a priority.

You won't know for sure until sonatine enters the thread to tell you what's good & what's not.

    Patience.
