Talk about sticking your finger right in the face of the DOJ.

It will be a slow process to get the money off if you can only get $3k checks and/or a bunch of withdraws on their ATM card. As far as taxes go of course the winner is responsible for them and that has always been the case even prior to Black Friday.

My understanding is that everyone at the final table gets a free wire transfer. The implication was you could have your winnings in a week or so. Whether this is the case or not I have no idea.

They need 2,000 players and their satellites are only guaranteeing 300. Even if they over-perform on satellites and hand out 600 seats my thinking is most of these will be players who would have bought in regardless. So I then thought, perhaps they will charge a huge vig on satellites to help cover the overlay... nope and nope. The S&G satellites have almost no vig, with buy-ins of $24 and $28 and tournament fees of just $1.20 and $1.40. The super and daily satellites have a normal vig.

Personally, I'm very curious to see how this turns out, both in terms of players and in payment
I write things about poker at my Poker Blog and elsewhere on the Internets

A standard tournament on WPN has a three hour late registration which is ridiculous for small stakes mtt's so I wonder how long this one will have? 8 hour late reg?
