Valerian root recommended for short term use 8 weeks or so.So if the underlying reason you are taking is something that is a long term issue and you don't like traditional medicine, research a good herbalist in your area. Depending on severity and cause of anxiety, an exercise, yoga and eating more healthy may help.
Hey splitthis it's actually mainly for sleep .I don't anxiety and eat pretty well and excercise about 4 times a week. I just sleep like shit...you wouldn't recommend it for long term use huh? Any reason why? I def try not to mess with ambien and other pills for sleep cus I don't trust them and I def don't trust the pharmaceutical companies.
Long term some have liver complications. Have you tried melatonin.I do a melatonin and a 25 mg benadryl combo melatonin production decreases as we age so adding it is helpful and benadryl is what's in Tylenol pm without the Tylenol.
I have tried melatonin but it made me feel like shit the next day + I didn't sleep that great on it( woke up numerous times in middle of night) valerian root I sleep like a baby im just worried im fucking myself up long term.

I don't know about vilerian root but Valerian steel is second to none
