coming back from vegas i was offered a $200 airline credit for switching to a later flight (the original flight was full and they were bumping people)

i didn't take it cause i was so burnt out and just wanted to be home, but has anyone tried and had any success at gaming the system?

sign up for morning flights that are very likely to be over-booked, hoping to get bumped and get a credit?

You have a self acknowledged history with severe drug abuse and some mid level scamming. There comes a time when you have to forfeit your credit. I'd stay away and pay cash. One night around a few months from now you will get an itch.

Do not risk your recovery.

It's hit or miss. Find the standard flights that would normally be full. If theyre a high volume location/destination they will most likely overbook.
