This is too dumb to answer
A girl on my Facebook went to visit her boyfriend and arrived at night on a Monday.
A week later, she was still there. On that Monday morning, she and her boyfriend argued as to how many days she had been there at that point.
She said 7. He said 8.
Most people on her Facebook agreed it was 8, but some said 7, and one person even said 6.
Which one is it?
If the argument started at 3AM, then technically 6 could be considered correct. Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun.
I would personally count both Mondays, because I don't require it to be daytime for a day to be counted, nor would I require some threshold of time on a given day. So 8 imo.
This argument is indeed very dumb.
To be specific it's 8 days, 7 nights.
It may not be a full stretch of 8 complete days based on time but it's just like scheduling any traveling vacation with an agency or by yourself that is how it is looked at to anyone in the industry.
Calendar days -> 8
24 hours = 1 day -> 6+remainder, until the time she arrived on the previous Monday, at which point it will be 7.
Many rental car companies charge you by the calendar day. If you pick the car up at 11:00pm on monday, and return it at 2:00am tuesday (not likely, but just illustrating the point) you would be charged 2 days.
It depends on what your definition of 'day' is.
