    PFA 2012 WSOP Fantasy Auction

I am going to be running a WSOP Fantasy Auction for this years event. This is based on the $25,000 Auction that happens every year (with a few minor changes). If you are interested in participating reply here. We will hold the auction either via skype or chat room and it will be something that will most likely take several hours, the tentative date for the auction is May, 20th. (edited date from 13th)

    Buy In: $20.00
Betting Units for picking players: 200
Number of players per team: 8

Each participant must fill a roster of 8 players and must
keep enough units to fill out their roster. So, for
example, if you need 3 players and have 52 units left
the max bid you can make on a player is 50.

    The Scoring System:

    1st 50
    2nd 45
    3rd 40
    4th 35
    5th 30
    6th 25
    7th 20
    8th 15
    9th 10
    10th-18th 5
    Cash 1

All Points are worth double in events with a 10k buy in or higher

An additional point per 100 entries is awarded to players who
finish in the top 18. No rounding off. An event with 87
players gets no point bonus, a 105 player field gets a 1 point
    bonus, a 247 player field gets a 2 point bonus, and a 1425 player
field would award a 14 point bonus to all players in top 18.

In a heads up event, players finishing in the same position would
split the points for that spot. For example, 5th through 8th would
get 22.5 points (plus field size bonuses) and be rounded up.

In order to receive points, a player must cash.

EXAMPLE: a 5th place finish in the $10,000 Omaha 8 with 312 players
    would be worth:
    5th- 30
    312- 3
    10k Bonus x2
For a total of 66 points

Bidding: A random order will be drawn for nominating players to be
bid on. You cannot pass your turn to throw out a name. Once a player
is thrown out for bidding the auction starts, and he'll go to the
highest bidder after a call of going once, going twice, sold. If no one bids on the player who is nominated that the person who nominated them will be obligated to take that player for 1 unit.

Payouts: Will depend on the number of entries-
    8 or less: 75%/25%
    14 or less: 65%/25%/10%
    16 or less: 60%/25%/10%/5%

If you are late to the draft, you may miss an opportunity to get a player you want. Anyone who arrives late can still participate in the league. (a start time will be announced here)

Results will be updated nightly via a spreadsheet you'll all have access to
    online.

The main event will count, but points will be awarded to any players
making the final 9 based on chip count. So if your player sits in 6th place
you'll get 6th place points for his result.

Points will only be awarded in open events, no Seniors, Ladies, or Employee
    events will count.

Leave any questions or comments here. If you would like to participate be sure you have a Paypal account for sending and receiving buy-ins/payouts

    List of participants:

    Bootsy Collins
    TheTemplar
    Bubbles
    HotShott74
