    *******THE OFFICIAL OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP THREAD*******

Royal Liverpool(Hoylake). Tiger's back and he won on this course I believe. Apparently not too dry which may mean
some nasty rough. Let's hope the wind blows as I believe that brings out a true champion.

Favorite event of the year bar none.

That golf course is about 8 miles from my house..

But could I stand around on a golf course for several hours? Could I fuck.

Shall be railing hard on my TV mind..

Love to see Mickelson tear it up again. But have a sneaky feeling for Mcllroy now that he's got that tennis bint out of his hair.

Phil's had his fill, nice to see Rory win in his backyard.

    Speaking of hair....

You'd think Tiger was the only guy in the tournament if you watched the pre-tourny coverage the last couple days.

Going to live sporting events is my thing, but unlike other sporting events - golf is very limited in the action you actually get to see compared to what get's shown on TV.

And spending up to 12 hours on a golf course doesn't really appeal anymore (even for a Major)

You'd be crazy not to go, especially living so close by.

I have no money on it but if Justin Rose plays like he did last week in the Scottish Open he will be hard to beat.

It's almost impossible to pick one guy out of 156 when half of them are basically evenly matched...when one good bounce over the course of four rounds can determine the entire tournament.

Peter Alliss has been up his own arse from the day he was born...Nauseating having to listen to the boring fuck commentate for all these years. It's like he's about to blurt out a poem every time he speaks..

As for Mickelson, I've not always been a fan. But he's been amazingly humble during his recent success - especially after last years Open.

2018 obv. And yeah the Open Championship is a week away but I just realized through Kodi, I can watch the
Scottish Open 3rd and 4th rounds, which I've never seen before.

Fuck me life. Kodi shitting the bed for the Open Championship. Tried a VPN service so I could try the UK channels direct.
Got it but herky jerky buffering. Unwatchable. So I pony up a subscription to TSN where they have four channels to choose from.
They're not covering it live today it seems, even though it's underway. Tomorrow and Sunday though good to go.
Saw Tiger play one hole. Looked pretty good. They mention he's won 14 majors and you kinda go whoa, yeah, right.
Great course. Tom Watson on Sky Sports, "this course will eat your lunch"

All you Tiger fan boys have missed the fact that he's just 6 shots off the pace with two rounds to go.
In days gone by that was nothing. Unfortunately he's still done and done.
I will cheer his demise cause he's not half the man he ever was.

Anything can happen but Spieth may be the perfect golfer/human

Winds are going to be up, should a great final.

granted the leaderboard is jammed with a ton of big names, which is great; but overall been a really boring open with no winds or weather to really deal with...

that first hole Spieth played today was incredible...it's like, 'yeah fuck you guys, this thing is still mine...'

definitely will be interesting to see this course play in the wind...
