foxwoods has a $400 buy in 2 day tourney next week w/ each player starting w/ 20k chips w/ 30min blind levels. starting @ 25/50

i really dislike the B&M time levels, and while 15min is lol and unplayable 30minutes has to be better, is it?

have any of you played in this structure, and hate it? like it? /...afterlevel 13 it goesup to 40minute levels

did you play str8forward poker from start to finish,or did you want to see cheap flops early on w/ a game that's opened up a little?

That is a good question. I played a tourney at the Sam's Town in Tunica before they closed the poker room and we had this old cunt of a dealer that only got out 4 hands in an entire down because she kept fucking up the antes. I complained to the brush during the break and he basically told me to go fuck myself. That room legit only had maybe 3 of 20 dealers under the age of 50.

Here in the D they crank out only like 6-8 an hour so a half hour you're only playing like 1-2 hands unless you're in there blind defending. Open range would have to be pretty wide unless you were going to try to see every cheap flop that lends itself to you.

same 20k chips.....but rebuys for only 6 levels w/ 40min levels on july 30

That's crazy. I've never dealt a tourney, but in cash games I can average 35 to 40 hands an hour in no limit games. I will admit though that it royally fucked me up on the rare days that the guys wanted to play PLO or O8.

I don't think you can get a good mixed game table here. PLOx is maybe 1-2 tables at any casino. You could probably just stand up and yell that you want to get an omaha game going and probably get enough people to fill a table though.

I've cashed in this type of event several times.

It really all depends on your table draws. Tighter tables I'd open it up with raises a little more pre-flop, but most of the time you'll be up against loose aggressive or loose passive players, so seeing cheap flops, flopping big, and betting big when you do, is a good way to get chips.

In the end, it is Foxwoods, you will need cards as these guys will call you down. But if you get them, you can get chips quick and then play ABC towards the final table.
