England have been pretty solid, if not very convincing so far. Leaving it until the last minute against Tunisia wasn't ideal. Losing to Belgium was a smart tactic.
Columbia should have been a breeze but it was stupid to sit on 1-0 lead and expect good things to happen. At least we broke the penalties duck,
As an Enlgishman I think we have as good an opportunity as you'll see in my lifetime to win this fucker. Sweden then Russia/Croatis isn't exacttly the hardest route to the final you will ever see. But the beauty of this game is that it throws up odd results.
Let's hope it all goes to plan ...

Was a great game. Should have been the final IMO.
England take on Sweden tomorrow. Despite being well below England in the FIFA rankings, England's record against them is not great. In the last 2 world cups in which the teams have met, both games ended in a draw during the group stages (with both qualifying from the groups).
The most memorable encounter was a 2-1 win for Sweden in Euro 1992. The Sun lampooned the then manager (and now late) Graham "do I not like that" Taylor the following day. The loss meant England finished bottom of the group with 2 draws and a loss in the group stage. This was their headline
Taylor stayed on as manager but resigned after England failed to qualify for the 1994 World Cup. There was a fantastic documentary made about the abysmal 1994 qualifying run - worth a watch just to see the two clowns Phil Neal and Lawrie McMenemy vying for sycophant of the year.

I don’t know what your fyp implies? That it’s an easy w or that they’re simply in the semis which obviously I’m aware of. I don’t know that it’s an easy w. It’s a good draw, but those are both good teams from what I’ve seen and anything can happen.
Obviously you do know what it means. You may disagree, which is fine. It is obviously better going into a semifinal game as favorites instead of big dogs, and more cause for optimism and excitement, which is my point.
I doubt you were super jubilant with the Cavs going to the finals, knowing exactly how it was going to play out, although obviously the variance in one soccer game is much higher than a 7 game basketball series.
