Not sure which flight sim videos you're watching, I think I seen one where a kid was dancing through a major city. Maybe you're just not searching for the right videos? Search for high cross wind landings / crabbing videos.

Crab landing / slip landing video, I've always been told to crab land and always slip before touchdown otherwise you're going to blow the tires.

Saw a couple people on youtube were saying that crash I posted in my last post wasn't due to the high bank, well here's a video of a pilot performing almost an indentical bank. During it's bank it is already stalling and then it tumbles out of the sky just like the crash in my previous message. What people don't understand is that you need significantly more lift on the wings when performing such a steep bank, if your plane is near stalling the absolute worst thing you can do is pull back or go into a bank. The best thing you can do is simply put the nose down.

Braj, I'd much rather you illegal download FSX and get some hours under your belt then have you dive into trees etc. Flying is a lot like poker, not all that hard to learn but it's going to take a lifetime to master. I seriously suggest you take on some training, it's a ton of fun and it'll require lots of effort and learning.

That video is nothing compared to this, I've really been slamming this threads ass and it's getting a bit mundane to me. I'm really into flight and that's why I went so HAM on this thread. However this video is fucking god and I know nobody is probably sitting around for the full 48 minutes but I highly suggest it. Full screen this shit and kick back and get ready for some gnarls footage. If you don't know about operation red flag I'll give you a quick heads up, it's basically air combat training for guys who are about to go out into war. They try their best to make it right on the cusp of realism as they possibly can and people actually have died during these exercises. Anyways, this shit is imax and it's just a spectacular glimpse into what almost nobody knows about, even after watching it you still won't know but maybe 5%. Either way just enjoy!
