Rockies at Dodgers
Dodgers up 8-0, perfect game for Kershaw so far.
He has to face Tulowitski in the upcoming 7th though.

I jinxed it. Seconds later, Hanely Ramirez threw the ball away.
Now it's just a no hitter through 6 2/3, but not a perfecto.
Here is the link to watch it: http://m.mlb.com/video/v20614977/liv...40619_26288636
Josh Beckett has a no hitter already for the Dodgers this year.
Miguel Rojas (just recently promoted from the minors in Uribe's place) made a great play to save the no hitter though.
Of course, Uribe might have also made the play, also being a great fielder.
lolz Hanley Ramirez punished for fucking up the perfect game.
He's replaced by Carlos Triunfel (rookie, just called up).
Honestly, with the Dodgers up 8-0 with a perfect game running, they should have already had Hanley and his crappy glove outta there.
7 1/3 innings and still no-hitter. 13 strikeouts so far I think.
Surprised he completed the no-hitter after Druff tried to jinx it.

2 no-hitters already for Dodgers this year (first time since the '50s), and they are finally on a nice winning streak.
Giants are in a tailspin at the same time, too.
Dodgers suddenly just 4 games out. Maybe this season will be salvaged.
I've said it before, many times, Clayton Kershaw is flat out the best pitcher in baseball.
Do you want some on who goes farther?
Goes further, meaning if LA ends up wild card but beats SF in the playoffs, you win.
But if they both go out the 1st round, the winner reverts to whoever won the division?
$ 100?
Obv, I'll pay up front.
I have this in play,
232466738-1 3/10/14 3:30pm $250.00 $7500.00 Pending 3/22/14 1:00pm Baseball MLB World Series - San Francisco Giants +3000
they are down to + 550, now.
LA is the 2nd highest ranked NL team @ +825.
Let's do it, but with a slight modification.
If both fail to make the playoffs, then it comes down to the better regular season record. We only tie if BOTH fail to make the playoffs and finish with an identical regular season record.
So:
- If both teams make playoffs, team who makes it farther in the playoffs automatically wins bet
- If both teams make playoffs but both lose first round, the team with the better regular season record wins bet
- If one team makes the playoffs and the other misses, the playoff team automatically wins bet
- If neither team makes the playoffs, the team with the better regular season record wins bet
If you agree, ship me $100.
Also, Kershaw has always owned the Giants really hard.
I think Kershaw actually was fortunate to be facing the Rockies at Dodger Stadium. That team always has problems when traveling to pitcher's parks, since they are so opposite in conditions to Coors Field. It's like a transitional thing, and it's tough on Rockies hitters. So if you want a team that is really going to stink it up offensively when in your home park, I think Colorado is a good one to have there.
Road batting averages for Rockies last 5 years:
2010: .226
2011: .235
2012: .249
2013: .261
2014: .247
I can't get too mad at Hanley for being a lousy defensive shortstop. Before being traded by the Marlins, he had already moved to 3rd base, and the Dodgers put him back at shortstop against his wishes.
Also, with basketball done really feeling the void here not getting to watch Dodger games (Fuck TimeWarner). I listen on the radio driving home from work and can catch the first couple innings on west coast games or the last couple on east coast games, but definitely wish I could more than the occasional ESPN game.
why do you think he's another Sandy koufax and could do it?

You got that, right?
The SF beat writers sound like I made a shitty bet here.
The Giants didn't lose yesterday! Now let's hope they can capitalize on that momentum going into Arizona.

Agreed
Yes I do feel the Dodgers will make the playoffs. Whether or not they will beat the Giants is another question. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the Giants win the World Series twice recently? And when was the last time the Dodgers won the World Series?
I think 1988 was the year.
When actually I feel the 2014 Dodgers are a better team than the 1988 Dodgers.
Why even have a NL Cy Young vote this year?
He backs up a no hitter & CGSO w/this?
LA Dodgers IP H R ER BB SO HR ERA
Kershaw(W, 8-2) 8.0 6 0 0 1 8 0 2.24
Just 2-hit Colorado in Denver (no easy task) over 8 innings. Dodgers were up 8-0, so they took him out rather than let him get the CG, despite only 93 pitches. Obv they figured they might as well preserve the scoreless innings streak, which now stands at 36.
Watch out Orel & Don!
Kershaw might go down as the best pitcher in our lifetime when it's all said and done. Long way to go, but he's really off to a spectacular early career (and he's been consistent for enough years to not be a flash-in-the-pan). The only thing that can really derail him is injury, which he experienced for the first time this year. He's probably more dominant than ever right now.
