It was rumored that they threw punches, but Lissandro claims it was just "a shouting match", and that's probably correct.
Of course, SrslySirius, who is the best at doing interviews we care about, was right on this one.

If hes right about Cantu (and I believe hes telling the truth) this doesnt surprise me. And it's not cause I know anything about Cantu but just based on the way he plays cards which seems to be full aggro with no gears but 5th it seemed it was only a matter of time before he had a bad run. At one point I think he was VERY VERY successful in MTTS live but havent followed him much since
Lisandro said that Cantu represents a new wave of "american style" gambling where people play on credit and if they're backers lose, its "bad luck" (and I agree b/c lets be honest, 60% of that room has their losses socialized with each other). Cantu owes big I bet.
The best part? Cantu is from Vancouver lol
Almost for sure over a sports debt.
Lisandro seems like his bookie or vouched for him.
I heard 1.5 years ago Cantu had a lot of money
Remember this whole mess from the WSOPE?
Brandon Cantu was once part of the whole Joe Sebok crowd, and was known for being very loose with money. Not surprising that he's busto.
At WSOP Europe this year, I asked him for an interview with the intention of opening with "So, in the history of the World Series, how do you think your performance today ranks?"
Unfortunately he took some kind of bad beat on the last hand before the break and was in no mood to talk.
Brandon Cantu comes off as an asshole al the time to me but he was banging Jennicide back in the day though.
In other news Ted Forrest just won his sixth bracelet ending Phil Hellmuth chances at #14 in a razzament.
Kind of getting this odd UCSB vibe from Cantu, replace girls not liking him with floor ruling against and owing out tons of money.
Of course, he could be relaxing with some pizza shooters, shrimp poppers or extreme fajitas.
I don't think Cantu is Canadian, though he may have moved to Vancouver to play online.
edit: born in Vancouver, WASHINGTON.
When he busted from the Razz FT last night, he crumpled a card in his hand (the best he could) and half threw at towards the dealer.
Why yes, I have heard of a "cut". A dozen of them consecutively run within 10 seconds of hitting play.
No, I am not going to interrupt an interview to play an unrelated video of an event that happened last decade. Making a reference to "taking off heads" will have to suffice.
Thanks for the advice though. Try not to slaughter any innocent families on your next liquor run.
Lissandro should have smacked Cantu in the head for Cantu being such a pillow biter.
(Yeah yeah not 100% aussie slang but close enough)
When faced with a difficult decision, ask yourself "What would Micon do?", then do the opposite.

Sorry, worded imprpoperly. Instead of applying several "straight" cuts', you might try a transition such as a fade or wipe etc. But I guess there was a deadline looming or something like that.
And yes the Friedman/ Lisandro feud is relevant to the story because it shows Lisandro has a history of poker related aggression so referencing the well known "battle" would be a better, more complete job.
Better than nothing I suppose.
Fades and wipes, you say?
