It just occurred to me that this card is why the German feed trick doesn't work anymore. The only reason that the Germans got PPVs for free was because Dana was saying fuck you to the government there for making live MMA illegal. Stands to reason that they would quit giving it away for free since they can run shows there now.

    Correction:

MMA wasn't illegal in Germany. They made it illegal to show it on tv. That's why Dana was giving it away for free on the internet. Also illegal to take minors to an mma show in Germany unless they repealed that law.

I see Moussasi easily beat Munoz. Can't say I'm shocked.

    Anybody have a replay stream?

haven't watched anything yet, but may as well start now. the JRE is doing another Fight Companion podcast, I didnt hear the first one, but might give it a try now if it syncs up right with the TV. Rogan, Eddie Bravo, maybe Bryan Callen, Brendan Schaub. http://www.ustream.tv/joerogan

cb is one of the worst groundfighters in the sport. he just has no idea what to do there so he tries to maintain a dominant position and ride mother fuckers into the sunset.

I was watching the fights from Brazil tonight & there were swaths of empty seats & I saw several sections that were basically empty, & not the nosebleeds, as the main event walkouts were happening. Not a good sign especially in a country that goes bonkers like no other for MMA.

Brazil, mainly the big cities, are in a lot of turmoil right now. Lots of protests, angry mobs. I mean if I know that shit like that is going on downtown, I don't put everyone in the car and head in that direction. That would be my guess.

Could go out on a limb and say that they were all too busy banging beach bunnies to notice that a fight broke out.

My guess is you just can't keep going back to a city and bringing shittier and shittier cards there each time you go. If you've never had the chance to see the UFC live, you might be interested in something like Stipe v Maldonado and a bunch of TUF fighters. When you look at the Maia-Shields card and the Belfort-Bisping card (both in Sao Paulo), it's pretty easy to see why this event was far from full.

Plus I was under the impression that the average Brazilian is dirt poor.
