Karla Montez decided to call Moose as she knew exactly where he would be. At an office building calling and taking bets. Later he would go out and pay off and collect on them. And use force if anyone decided not to pay.

The guards will be long gone as you will have released them miles back. Once we have the gold and loaded it on the truck you, I, and Miles will leave with the others following in the car. But before we leave you will be acting like your checking out and car and truck and set the timer on the explosives to go off in 10 minutes. Then it will be just you, me, and Miles. ''Well hello Miles. Good to see you as I heard you had some trouble. So what was it?''



''Nothing I couldn't handle Randell.''

As he looks at Peter Finch.

''Yeah that's right Randell. So I'm right up your alley then you scumbag.''

As he continues to look at Finch.

And Miles slugs Jake Randell. And knocks him to the floor.

Randell's men grabbed Miles, sit him in the chair and were about to beat him.

When Finch said.

''Miles you're going to get the beating of your life now.''

But Miles stood up anticipating it.''

And asked him if he could immediately meet him in a cafe. Sgt. Weitz said he would.



Like me get this straight Captain Richardson. You want me to join your investigation and carry a gun? Why I haven't carried a gun since 1929 and don't even know where mine is. 6 years ago they wanted me to take target practice and I had to claim my mother had died and was going to her funeral that day. Good God they never called me back about it.''



''Yes I know Stg. Weitz, Fud's the same way but he's in on this and I'll have to ask him to carry a gun himself. I understand that you two are friends.''



''Oh no Captain Richardson, very clever but this friends stuff isn't going to work. Fud or not I don't want to carry a gun.''



''Look Tad supposed I told you we're up against Jake Randell and his gang. Supposed I told you this could be one of the biggest cases the NYPD has ever handled. A man on the NYPD for 25 years since 1919 and always got the job done. Just like Elmer Fud did and they knew each other and even attended Yankee baseball games together. Always laughing at Don Lockman behind his back as they knew the Red Sox would never win another World Series for atleast a 100 years if the Yankees were around. Tad Weitz always played dumb and used this ploy to lure his prey into certain destruction having an IQ of close to 140 and at the low end of genius. Yes Sonny Richardson had convinced the right man to join the case. And yes with Elmer Fud he knew he had the right match there to make an arrest and get the convictions on Jake Randell and his gang as they would make both a dynamic duel working together. America is fortunate to have such outstanding policemen as these defending the citizens of this great country!

Next Sonny sent someone to speak with Elmer Fud and tell him that he was too hot now since bringing Miles Turner in, would have to fall back and watch Jake Randell's club from across the street



Also since the important of the case was a top priority for the NYPD and the nations security depended on it he asked Elmer if he'd cary a gun. He also told Fud his friend Tad Weitz had been brought in on the case. Fud was reluctant at first to carry a gun but when he learned his friend Tad had accepted to be on the case he said he would be armed from now on. Also Elmer would need to be at the conference room at the station on Wednesday at 6 am for a briefing on what was going to happen, followed by questions that anyone might have.''



Elmer checked into a room across the street.



Where he could observe Jake's Place.



And would strike like the Eagle when he knew the time was right.



Sonny decided to call Sidney Poindexter the next day as it was getting late and tomorrow would be a big day with Finklestein meeting Randell in the bar. He also thought that he might bring in one more man on the case. An expect within the department on making field plans and who would handle most of the conference before the exchange of money for gold would take place. He also thought of where he would get the proper amount of money but would know after Finklestein met Randell.
