Episode needed more scenes of Arya training.

you guys remember that time they taught arya how to use other people's faces and then did nothing with it
So did the Wall just magically regenerate after a zombie dragon took it down?
if martin actually finishes the books, i'll read them and hope he chooses an entirely different ending
do you all realize this might be the last thread that mumbles doesn't even check?

"America is not so much a nightmare as a non-dream. The American non-dream is precisely a move to wipe the dream out of existence. The dream is a spontaneous happening and therefore dangerous to a control system set up by the non-dreamers." -- William S. Burroughs

reasonably poignant and thought provoking.
whats interesting is they mention there are _five_ GoT related spinoffs in various stages of development.
one of which is the prequel, which started shooting already, but that leaves 4 other projects that could pick up any of the threads the show left open.
drogon v bran, aryas walkabout, so on, lots to work with there honestly. for better or for worse.

also i keep catching myself hoping the next episode of GoT somehow addresses the shows core mythology and character development arcs. its like phantom limb syndrome.

Another hole left open is whether or not Tyrion was also a Targaryen. If he is that would have been a better reveal, because we already know for certain Jon is. Dany could have tried to torch Tyrion only for it not to work. Confused, she could have decided to temporarily imprison him and then Jon kills her.
iirc the tyrion / targaryen question was pure fan speculation.. i dont recall it being something addressed/hinted at in either the books or the series in any meaningful way.
that said, ive always found it to be one of the more accessible theories.
counting against, the lannisters have always been wealthy and powerful so its unlikely that jus primae noctis would apply with them. and thats a really significant point against.

It really would have just been better if the Night King won

Member how Arya could shape shift (lulz) and that skill was totally irrelevant the entire last season of the show.
I member.

hey so no big deal but that sounds actually great?Ancient History
The one confirmed prequel is set thousands of years before the original series. That means we won’t see any familiar faces, but there still could be some recognizable Starks, Lannisters or Baratheons running around Westeros.
The series will show the world plunge into its darkest hour after the Age of Heroes ended long ago. Martin informally referred to the series as “The Long Night” in a blog post, alluding to the winter that lasted a generation nearly 10,000 years ago, and caused widespread terror and famine. The show will explore the origins of the White Walkers, the mysteries of Essos and the legends of the early Stark family.
