Way ahead of you OSA:
http://pokerfraudalert.com/forum/sho...ull=1#post4999
I hear its now a $2 Billion buyout now with a $5,000 free roll per member since they are really nice guys. A pizza party will commence the announcement. Details to be posted on Skatzpoker
Well latest update is more of the same
Major groundwork is laid as it has been since the beginning so that hasn't changed. When I say major groundwork I mean Stars owner can walk free in Times square , fine amounts settled etc.
Stars still wants the deal and are committed to getting it done. They are pissed they couldn't have it done by start of WSOP but they are still negotiating the stuff like how player payouts get handled and who does them etc.. and things like that.
Source still says the deal should get done and players should get paid. Whether that announcement comes tomorrow , next week or in 2 or whenever is undetermined.
What will determine that time frame is how fast they can come to agreements on the small things that most of the dopes who just "want to get paid" don't seem to get. These things are being hammered out and when they are complete you will get your announcement.
I am told that nothing has jumped in the way to make the deal go south. Just more negotiating over who gets what, whom can do what etc...
If Stars walks away from the table you will hear about it. If the deal get's done you will hear about it.
Right now there are negotiations so that's better than nothing
Wrote this piece last night, good update IMO
http://www.vegaspokerradio.com/forum...lt-Still-a-Yes
"Pokerstars did try and put a full court press on the DOJ and tried to get this deal done in time for the WSOP but that became unrealistic when both sides were pulling to agree on who would do the payouts and all of the minor details (which are major in a deal like this) were not as easy as once thought so they had to stay at the negotiating table where they still stand working out every little thing in major detail. "
In wake of all the internal terroristic threats, this sounds like something the DOJ would consider, in an election year. Sounds very plausible.
Complete bullshit apparently...
Jennicide just retweeted from someone that there was no deal, never was and it was just a move to prevent Tapie from doing something.
I would post it, but it was either deleted for some reason or I am missing it now. Shit just disappeared.
Nothing against Jennicide, but her retweet of some clown isn't necessarily the truth.
If this was really a level on Tapie, it was a pretty damn elaborate one. I know from two different reliable sources with high-level connections to Pokerstars that this deal is a very real thing, and that the delay is coming from logistical issues.
I am not guaranteeing that it will go through, but am rather saying that I strongly believe Pokerstars still really wants it to, as does the DOJ.
Here's the Tweets:
James Barnes@JamesBarnesEsq
Pokerstars folds on FTP deal. Never real deal, just bluff to prevent Tapie from bringing FTP back to market - great bargaining chip with DOJ
DOJ have rejected proposal by Isai to have civil charges dropped. He's worried about jail time. Pokerstars have gone all-in! Will DoJ fold?
@_tizzle I'm afraid I can't divulge source or go into detail, but I stand behind it. And TBH not entirely surprising! #FTP #PokerStars

James Barnes was previously one of the start-up founders of Pzyche.com, legal Counsel at PartyGaming as well as roles within BBC & FIFA’s marketing agency.
Other than that I don't see much that points to him having sensitive information. He's also been a detractor of the deal for a while

From what I can tell he looks to be a longtime Twitter user, not just some random ,anonymous troll. I've never heard of him before.
Most of his tweets seem to deal with legal aspects of the online gaming industry
***EDIT*** my quick read based on his following/followers list, and the Tweets he has put up, is that he is legitimate

A far more reliable source has confirmed from the ultimate reliable source that:
Andrew Feldman@AFeldmanESPN
The Head of Corp Communications for @PokerStars @erichollreiser says the Twitter rumors of PS folding on the FTP deal is "false"

People need to write off their FTP money.
We either aren't getting it period, or waiting another eternity.
