    Question here

    The word ''Schedule''

Definition is. A plan of procedure for a project, allotting the work to be done and the time for it.

Now some people pronounce it ''schedule'' and some people pronounce it ''sheadule''.

So what is the correct way to pronounce it? Or are both ways acceptable?

This has been bothering me for years and any help in the matter would be appreciated.

    Sonny

You are posting this question in this forum at this time of day.

Is there a difference between the pronounciation of ''schedule'' and ''sheadule''? Both sound the same to me.

Hillbillies of an established culture come up with their own dialect and spelling for all kinds of words. Eventually they become mainstream and a new culture is born. For example, look to one of the largest countries in the world. uhMurika

My favorite one of these is the word defense. It was pronounced the same way by everyone until it became a sports chant. It's hard to chant the word to cheer on your team if you pronounce it correctly.
