When most immigrants come to this country they dont speak English. If they just got here, it should be a seen as a great thing that they want to sing this in their own language. It means they want to be part of this country.

I have a problem with immigrants that come and dont even try to learn English and expect society to conform to them. If you want to be an American, immigrants should make a real effort to learn English. We shouldnt let the government make it easier on them by making forms in a million languages.

This is one of my biggest issues too. If you move to America you should learn English as a necessity to survive. Now that goes the same if an American moves to Spain or wherever they should learn Spanish in this case.

It's too easy to migrate to America and taking an English course to at least know the basics should be required for a long term stay.

I agree completely. The store that I run now is in the middle of a section of Birmingham that has a large Middle eastern and African population relatively speaking. The biggest thing that makes me hopeful is that there is a community center about a block away that has English classes on Monday, Wed, and Thursday nights and their parking lot is always full of cars.

But in relation to this thread one dude was pissed at this commercial where I was playing cards. Ranted for a good minute. Normally I'd think it's the media blowing out of proportion but I saw this with my own eyes. Two blacks, one half Philippino, and one Jew foot doctor didn't stop his rant.
