Actually this has potential to be good. Steve Zaillian is writing/directing. If he makes this guy look like the pathetic (yet brilliant) lonely old man that he is it could be money for the actor who ends up playing Paul Frampton.

This would be way more interesting & make for a better movie if it was Peter Frampton.
At least the movie would have a decent soundtrack.
They could use a nice romantic song like this during the prison shower rape scene:
