It probably will be a fail but I will try to watch an episode and decide after that whether to watch the show or not. From the preview it sounds like the winning handicapper will get $1 million at prize at the end.

Im actually really intrigued by this. My hope is that they leave the "edges" where they find them, eg they dont whitewash the culture. If they actually go that route, this might be legendary.

"America is not so much a nightmare as a non-dream. The American non-dream is precisely a move to wipe the dream out of existence. The dream is a spontaneous happening and therefore dangerous to a control system set up by the non-dreamers." -- William S. Burroughs
A few more previews.
This show is a reality type program completely different then Luck which I actually enjoyed for what it was worth but HBO made that nearly impossible for like 98% of their audience to understand it that it was bound to fail at the start prior to the issues they had at the end of it.
The show was pretty good if you like the horses. B&P's summation of Luck applies here. This will not bring new people. It opens with the guy talking about singleing a horse. Non-bettors will have no idea what he is talking about.
The re-play is at 1am EST on the Esquire Channel.
Extra: Mail order/immigrant brides in tight sweaters.

Most of the show was enjoyable and I will likely watch the series.
As far as Luck goes that show was full of staged drama which is good for what it was in a TV series while this takes the reality TV approach.
I like the fact in this series they tell you how much they are betting and win, etc.. People like to see that stuff and if I didn't I might just think they put $10 on the 3 horse to win.
