Never has there been a team that did so much with so little. The Pats best offensive threats at this point of the season were Julian Edelman and Shane Vereen. Not many QB's are sniffing a shot at the Superbowl if that is their best options. Other than Manning, I doubt there is another coach/QB combo that could have gotten this far. Major props to Tom Brady and Bill Belichick for making it to the AFC Championship game with no offensive threats and probably one of the worst D's they've had since 2001. This also is a testament at how God awful the AFC was this year.

It's scary to say but there is a very good chance the Patriots will be the most improved team in the NFL next year (of the playoff ready teams, someone will draft the right QB and go from 2 to 9 wins like RG3). Without a single draft pick or free agent acquisition they will get Wilfork, Mayo, Vollmer, Gronkowski and 11 more games out of Vereen. They are the second youngest team in the NFL. The duo of Talib and Dennard looked good and McCourty found his place at Safety. The lights really came on for Chandler Jones this year and Jamie Collins looks like more of a freak pro bowler then a project rookie.

Not surprised to see the Patriots back in the Big Game next year.
