true detective is just a total mess this season.

supposedly the plot got explained last night but for the life of me i have no idea what any of this has to do with orphans or blue diamonds or getting shotgunned by someone in a bird mask.

I couldn't even remember any of the names they were saying. I was completely lost. Also how obvious is it that Vaughns wife is gonna double cross him?

I was in the same boat. Gotta re-watch to make any sense of it.
