This is why college "amateur" athletics is such a joke. Schools bend their admission requirements to let in anyone who can throw or kick a ball, to the point where they literally admit illiterates.
The NCAA needs to drop their obsession with these guys not getting paid, and establish some guidelines for some sort of revenue sharing. Also they might as well drop academic requirements, because obviously there is so much cheating/BS going on that none of this is being adhered to anyway.
The NCAA wants to believe a perfect world exists where all athletes are also serious college students who are just representing their school, but the current reality is that major college sports are just training grounds for the pros.
