Funny how Binion's, once known for their great blackjack rules, now offers one of the worst games in Vegas.
Anyway, that is a useful site, but I wish it listed penetration for us card counters.
The Hacienda single deck game has a 0.02% house edge? Could one play that game profitably using a $10-$200 bet spread?
With a $200 max bet, you're not breaking any banks, but still, a 'beatable' game looks encouraging for a "recreational" card counter.
Usually around the 4th of every month, Stanford Wong publishes Current Blackjack News (CBJN). It has the current blackjack conditions around the USA. Here is a sample pdf issue http://www.bj21.com/ads/CBJN1004.pdf. The cost is $15 and the information is uploaded to the user immediately in the pdf format. When I used to hit Vegas in a big way at blackjack, I was prepared to play beforehand, knowing which casinos to knock off with CBJN. Now most casinos are infected with continuous shuffling machines (CSM's) and 6:5 blackjack payouts. The MGM Grand remains the remnant of the good old days of blackjack with plenty of late surrender (very important!) shoe games which reduces the fluctuation of our bankroll. Most Vegas Strip casinos now might have two or three of these shoe games instead of the 40+ seen in the 90's. These blackjack tables have been replaced by carny games such as 3 Card Poker, Let It Ride etc. It is sad to see the demise of blackjack, but opportunities exist with the rise of baccarat tables. The Dragon Bonus baccarat side bet and EZ Baccarat's Dragon 7/Panda 8 can be beaten with card counting. Advantage play still exists and we must stay one step ahead of the casinos.
As you can see in this hidden video I shot at the Rio during the WSOP, only three lightly played blackjack tables were in play while five packed baccarat tables were going which featured the Dragon Bonus side bet.
