How much money have you spent in your life on lottery tickets?

In the spirit of the mega millions nonsense, I was thinking about the lottery and it dawned on me that I literally have never spent one fucking dime ever on a lottery ticket. Ditto for scratch offs or anything else like that. I kept thinking there had to be some time where I bought some but nope... I would have remembered. I mean around here that is n-word shit anyway, only ones ever in line at the lotto machine wasting their fucking money are those morons.

I remember way back in the day my parents would grab one here and there but it was very rare, only if the jackpot was huge. I don't get all these idiots especially the ones who buy like hundreds of dollars worth.

With all due respect, I rarely if ever spend money on lottery tickets but just about everyone on here has probably spent over your limit given the average age here. $200 in a lifetime is basically nothing.

Yeah I guess so...if you play it regularly. Can't change the numbers now I don't think.

Are lottery tickets still a dollar? That is what I was assuming.

200 tickets is a lot IMO.

I can't remember the last time I bought a ticket so I don't know. Pretty sure there are some $20 plus scratch offs now. If this jackpot hits a billion I will buy a ticket or two. You never fucking know.

uhh, I don't know what all it includes when one says 'lottery'? Scratch offs too? Church raffles? Daily 3/4? I said 200 for all of it lifetime, but less than 50 for just megamillion / lotto type shit.

Lotto, mega millions powerball shit like that.

Screw the scratchoffs that is some serious degen shit.

There are people around here in the city, lower middle class who I see spending $50-100 at a clip chasing that winner. Same thing with the machines in bars and small convenience store and liquor stores....they just sit there all day and play them.

I had a friend of mine back in the day whose mother was literally addicted to those machines. She would sit at a sub shop that had one and plays for 8-10 hours straight multiple days a week.

    Tax on the poor.

I have spent well over $200 on the lotto in the last 20 years.

What i really hate is standing in line at Texaco behind a 300lb negro woman that is buying multiple $5 scratch offs as quick as she can get them, and then they use their food stamp card to buy the 6 kids with them now & later candy. And how can those bitches drive a Mercedes?

I bought 10 tickets for tonight, all with the same numbers. I would hate to split the jackpot 50/50 with someone else, so if I hit tonight I am going to fuck someone real hard. 10/11th for me, and 1/11th for them.

How angry would you be if the winner of the Mega Millions is Floyd Mayweather Jr and The Money Team?

All because Mayweather sent someone to buy $50,000 in lottery tickets.

It was $2 until the last big Powerball thing, where I went to buy 2 tickets. The gas station would not let me buy lotto tickets with a card (?) so I had to withdraw from the gas station ATM, which charged me an additional $3.

    Never again

Don't need to spend $2 to feel disappointed.

I can feel that way for free.

I bought two tickets and my dreams have been shattered obv. We should know in an hour or so if anyone won this thing.

As for tickets I don't buy much but I'd say I still spend about $15-20 a year on super lotto tickets during times like this so times that by about 15 and I've easily exceeded the $200 lifetime but definitely not $500 which I've seen people piss away that much in a day playing bar keno.

The poll option should be $1-$10, not $0-10. I sought out a zero, found it, and quickly voted. Now I see there's an entirely separate option for zero, using words and shit.

This is redundant and misleading. You must work for Gallup.

def over 3000 since I have been 21

Gives me something to do when at grocery store with gf and she is taking forever to shop. 20 dollar scratchers for the loss.

I ran the lottery simulator for 30 days straight on one of my computers since then have not bought a ticket. I mean i knew all of it was a waste of money but that really put it in perspective.

Does that simulator show you how much in the hole you would be after the 30 days?

Also, I've bought lottery tickets maybe 10 times in my life but I've played club keno a decent amount at the bar, biggest score off Club Keno was $72.
