    Google Chrome/Facebook ads Targeting Users?

Back when I was searching prices for washer/dryers I noticed all the washer dryers I was looking at kept popping up on facebook in "suggested posts"

Now tonight I was searching around looking for a specific pair of shoes and the same shit is popping up on facebook as "suggested" posts with nearly the identical item I was looking for from the exact site I was on?

Is there a way to disable this shit? and how the fuck does this work

Not sure about Facebook they're sneaky as shit. Im almost convinced their is some cookie or spyware shit they are running. Seems everytime we turn around that little Zuckerberg sneak is finding more sneaker ways to monetize his site by skirting privacy issues.

    They are reading your cookies.

It's not as shady as it appears.

If the company that installed the cookies (in this case, the manufacturer of the dryers) allows Facebook to read it, they can do so legally.

This in turn allows them to advertise things you were just looking at.

But I agree it's creepy. It's happening in a lot of places.

This is why some people on here are getting ads for shampoo and fleshlights.

Use Chrome for your regular web browsing and use Firefox for fb bullshit. Also get adblock for firefox, since I started doing this I have not seen any of them stupid ads.

Also if you want to search for shit online without having your IP logged and search saved use startpage.com as it does not use cookies. They don't send your information to the NSA, hell they don't even save your user information in the first place so if some agency tried to get that info they would be barking up the wrong tree. They anonymize your info and use the Google search engine so you still get hella results just without the tracking hassle.
