Atlantic City "Poker Pro" escapes 2 robberies at/near airport

Weird story.

The player's name is Eric Riley.

He was carrying $100k in cash to the airport, but his "friend" sped off with the money after he stepped out of the car.

He then jumped in a cab, action-movie-style, and demanded "Follow that car!"

They caught up, he jumped out, and snatched the bag back from the trunk which was still open.

Then two guys pulled up and claimed to be undercover cops. He got in their car, and they tried to rob him at gunpoint. He jumped out of the moving car, scraping himself up, and summoned actual cops there.

The funniest parts of the story:

Riley, who lives in Deerfield Beach, Fla., is a skilled poker pro who won $82,000 at a recent tournament with a $2,500 buy-in, according to poker Web site Bluff.com. He has earned roughly $261,000 during his career and is ranked the 516th-best player in the world, according to the site.

He also has a job selling linens to hotels, police sources said.

Lots of skilled poker pros sell linens to hotels on the side.
