I did a wire cashout in January and it came quickly. Don't know how fast they are these days, or how long the checks have been taking.

    ~2.5-3 weeks for a check.

I wouldn't do a wire - their wires are really fucked right now

    O RLY?

What's wrong with wires? How long has this been going on?

Probably has to do with the indictment, and the site's decision to withdraw from select US states (I know for sure Maryland and most likely Washington State). Cashouts on any site for US players is a mess right now, to the point that if three different people made three cashouts at roughly the same time (say within a week) one person could get a check in a week, another in 3 weeks, and the third in 2 months.

Virtually anything could cause a delay:

    1. A processor stealing money --in which case the site then has to find a new processor
    2. A processor deciding to stop doing business with an online poker site --again causing the site to find a new processor
    3. The wire getting put under scrutiny by the recieving bank
    4. The initial wire could get seized by the DOJ
I write things about poker at my Poker Blog and elsewhere on the Internets

Wires have been fucked for most of this year, due to mostly processor issues I believe.

Here's the problem with bovada wires:

    - They will only wire to specific banks. Or rather there are several major banks that bovada will not send a wire to. I had 1 bank account last year. Now I have 3 just to be able to receive bovada wires.
    - They changed the max wire to $5k (used to be $10k). A check max is $3k, so there is not much benefit there.
    - If your wire does go through it takes about 3-4 weeks. If it doesn't, you wait 3-4 weeks then they put the $ back in your account. Basically wasted time.
    - If you order a bunch of money in check form it will take 3 weeks to get your first $3k, but then you will get a $3k check about once a week until your payout is done. With wires it's wait 3 weeks get $5k, wait another 3-4 weeks get another $5k, etc. That's assuming, of course, that your wires go through smoothly.

Update, My payout was approved April 15th and still no money. I called Bovada last weekend and they said I would for sure recieved the check last week which obviously didn't happen. I just called them again and now they are saying that I won't even get my check next week because they are currently processing checks that were approved on April 6th. A believe when I cashed out the payouts page said average was 15 days, then changed to 15 business days and now it says 20 business days. I am currently sitting at 20 business days and won't even get my check next week. They first told me that they were backed up because of Easter/Good Friday(lulz) and now they say they are backed up because of a high volume of cashouts. Needless to say, I think it's time to stay clear of Bovada.

    Recent Payout Delays

    Hello,

We understand there has been a delay in receiving your recent payout and want to apologize. We want to assure you that your money is, as always, safe and on its way. We have never missed a payout to our players.

We have issued you a $250.00 bonus for the inconvenience this situation has caused.

It is important to us that our players can request payouts with confidence, knowing their money will be received quickly. Unfortunately this has not been the case but we are working hard to ensure there are fewer delays in the future.

Thank you for your ongoing patience.

    Bovada Customer Service
    service@bovada.lv
    1-888-263-0000

Please note that standard rollover applies. You have 30 days to activate the bonus by placing a bet or making a chip purchase.

I'm not sure if I should take this as at least they are giving me some kind of compensation or take this as a sign that I won't be getting my money any time soon. Currently sitting on 22 business days.

Looks like checks have gone from taking 2-3 weeks to taking 5-6 weeks. People are just now getting their checks that they requested in early april. Hopefully they find some new processors ASAP, as bank wires have gone donk down also and I have a shitton in pending payouts

So nobody can do wires anymore under any circumstances?

I know a decent amount of bodog/bovada regs, some with int'l bank accounts, and no one has gotten a wire since the end of March. This has happened before at bodog, and they were eventually able to get them up and running again. Who knows at this point.

Avg Merge and Bovada check wait has been 1 month since March 2012.

Considering the legal environment, prob hard to get payment processors and banks to comply on a regular basis.

The checks are cashing, tho lol

Bovada is awesome. Quick cash outs, no hudbots, anonymous tables, etc.

For a casual player it's the best site for us players.

Its so funny how the fish make a big deal about huds. For one most fish are tourney players, and you wont get alot of hands against tourney players that arent grinders. For cash players its still takes thousands of hands to pick apart your opps tendancies, and even if you have alot of hands on fish its still not that big of a deal, because your looking for small things that your opp might do more then the average, but fish dont play a certain strategy like bet folding the river alot. You dont need a hud to spot a fish. I used it to take advantage of small leaks or tendancies of regs, which takes millions of hands. I used to buy millions of hands and put in hundreds of hours studying hud stats. Yes it helps if I have 30 hands against you and you play 75/0, but since US players arent playing 24+ tables anymore its not hard to spot a fich and see he limps calls every hand.

I have to agree with you.

Although I've played there before the name change I never paid much attention to Bovada. I'm playing there tonight.

Bovada has the most real life-like deck I have ever experienced online including PS and FT. Their customer service is first rate and they pay out quickly.

I'm even warming up to the anonymous aspect of play and I love the Rabbit Card feature.
