I'm going to go back at the end of the season and look at my record regarding Detroit.
It's gotta be almost .000, to the point where my non-Detroit NBA picks are probably doing damn well overall.
I'm about to lose another one. I've got to stay away from that team. I simply don't understand them, apparently.
On the bright side (for the moment), the Mavs are ahead by 9 near the beginning of the 3rd, and that's a +210.
shoeshine box is the guy who called into radio recently and talked about his cancer.
He's dealt to me at the WSOP and other places over the years in Vegas. Somehow I always run well when he deals to me.
simp's losing his touch...took CHI/SJ a whole period and a quarter to go over the game total...
Simp 4-2 on his posted plays
Don’t give up on him.
Hawks Sharks was like the old days.
Dallas crapped the bed at the end. Very disappointing. The swing of a +210 moneyline bet is huge.
I've lost 6 in a row for the first time this season.
May not have time today to post.
MLB: Jays over 9 (or 8.5 if you can get it).
Time for my first MLB picks. Three dogs, who also happen to be home teams.
Miami (T. Richards) +146 vs. Colorado (Marquez) - Richards, who has been though to have hidden upside, had an incredibly dominant spring, especially his final start
Seattle (Kikuchi) +125 vs. Boston (Eovaldi) - Kikuchi, a long-sought-after Japanese pitcher just hitting his prime age (27), looked great in his first start against Oakland last week (in what was a real regular season game)
Tampa (Morton) +130 vs. Houston (Cole)
NBA:
Atlanta +125 vs. Portland - Nurkic out for season, McCollum out
Some very interesting picks.
I had similar Miami Rockies thoughts this morning but took a different tack.

Seattle Boston sooo tempting and tasty. Can’t wait to see how that curve ball fares against Sawks batters.

Brewers prolly don’t have Hader (2 innings yesterday) other injuries. It’s the Cardinals

Another loss with Atlanta in the NBA. Them and Detroit... what a disaster.
What's sad is I had a winning season finally going (by 3 units) until this 0-7 slump. That puts me down to 4 units under breakeven.
The one good thing (until now) about my NBA was that I did not go into any prolonged slump. I also failed to establish any kind of real winning streak, but I didn't slump.
7 in a row... brtual. Some dogs in there so it makes more sense, but still...
So far in MLB...
Tampa is beating Houston 4-2. There might be a lot of value in Tampa this year.
Miami got ahead on a Curtis Granderson HR (lol), and Richards pitched great as expected, but the team blew bases loaded in the 6th, and now the Rockies got ahead 2-1. Sanlmar might hit 'em both.
I wish I had thought of the under 4 for first 5 innings. Perfect game for that. Marquez dominated on the road last year, and Richards dominated in the spring this year. And Miami has a lolbad offense. I'll look more at things like that in the future.
I heard today the books are talking about 1st inning bets
Worthless but I see the ADD Twitter generation needs this to stay engaged
Well, the Rays did it. 4-2 win.
The Marlins are getting pounded in the 9th and aren't coming back. 3 runs are like 10 for this team.
Lost the Atlanta NBA by 20. Sadly I was considering the Denver moneyline instead of Atlanta, but went with Atlanta.
It's all up to the Mariners, and our 27-year-old Japanese warrior Yusei Kikuchi, who I drafted last year in an NL keeper league, just to see him finally sign with an AL team this year.
