It’s time to reload and take a hard look in the mirror.

Early regular season last year was very good to me. I was posting my record in my signature for a while until it just became embarrassing. This year, there are no fresh insights or room for anti establishment opinions. Early regular season will just be the third half of 2017. That blows.

Red Sox play Boston College today. I actually looked for a line. Two losers take the field in Florida. No JD so BC might have been the favorite.

If you follow Twitter and podcasts and get an understanding of a manager’s goals for his pitching staff and how he approaches spring training you can get an edge as lines are posted without listing the pitchers. It’s a lot of work but if you like baseball you’re listening anyway.

Wanted to fire Lakers -3.5 tonight but that side was so "public", I was scared off. Now I wish I had.

Anyway, regarding the Lakers and the playoffs...

I can't see it happening, even if they play better going forward.

They are 11th seed, trailing the Jazz by 6 games, the Clippers by 7.5, and the Pelicans/Nuggets by 8.5. Ouch!

There's only 25 left to play. Let's say they win tonight, so it would be 24 left to play, and they'd be 8 back.

The Lakers would have to leapfrog not one, not two, but THREE of these teams in order to make the playoffs.

How tough is that?

Even if the Lakers go 17-7 in the final 24, they wouldn't catch any of these teams if they all played .500 ball.

They would need to pass THREE of them, remember.

In other words, you just lit $250 on fire.
