    Spring training aftermath edition

Minnesota -120 (Mahle) at Miami (Cueto) - Johnny Cueto battled arm soreness during spring training, and pitched poorly when he wasn't sitting out. Tyler Mahle also had his struggles, but looked good in his last spring outing. He also doesn't have a sore arm.

St. Louis (Woodford) +110 vs Atlanta (Morton) - In another pick fading a has-been pitcher, Charlie Morton had a bad end to 2022, saw some control issues in the spring, and is facing Jake Woodford who had a spring ERA of just over 2.00.

Do they pay out quickly though?

Ive never had an issue but I've also never requested 250K either.

Quick scan of twitter seems to indicate they play some games with the BTC/USD rate….. but if you aint cheating you aint trying.

Apologize for the mention druff / wasn't trying to advertise for them nor am I getting anything from it. Thats a gigantic number to book on though.

As always use caution weather its a online book or a local.

China and I could probably do 2 hours of radio on some of the games that get played.

In fact i have a new local account. Paid him three weeks smallish, 1400 total. Win 3500 last week, he only pays 2500 of it. Mid week he closes my and four other guys accounts says its all sharp action using same IP address. He looks again the other four were, sees mine is not. Turns my account back on and deletes $5,000 of active bets including one on C Conners. He says its all a misunderstanding - the conners bet is good. Fast forward to today and he wants to know why no other bets have been put in and he doesn't want to pay the 1k from last week and 5k from this week because he is afraid im going to “hit and run”, as though it matters.

Cone to find out he got murdered in a huge plo game and two other clients had FAU to make the final four at 100-1

    This business….

@Sundogmonkey is a great follow and his main guy is Speith….. but its admittedly a “fuck it im not taking chalk” pick. Hes not on my list due to putting concerns. Im not a Hideki guy and its hard to win twice.

I feel like the guy who is going to cause me to stay up at night is X.

    Backed Xander once, never again.

I’m pretty happy with my picks this time, might feel cute and fire some more later

Think Burns is probably a stretch but hey

I find it hard to trust a guy who writes columns for a bookie lol, like a skinny chef… but appreciate and will take note

    Yo Simpdog

What do you think of a MLB contest?

Track by units. Each guy is responsible for updating their own record the following day. Perhaps it’s kept in the member’s signature.

Units involve math so the average PFA user might find that a bridge too far. Personally, I’d accept wins and losses if I could ridicule Druff laying lumber on the Dodgers. Simpler. Just saying. Less accurate fr.

Everyone kicks in something. Keep it small so we can walk away if we get sidetracked. Mostly a vehicle for incentivizing us to keep a record for the purpose of shit talk and informing the randoms and casuals on PFA of the poster’s quality.

Kick in $10-$20 each. Make it $1000 if you must. Lol. Idk if we want to get all wrapped up in escrow. Your call.

If a late comer wants to participate - no problem.

Cut off at All Star break? Season is interminably long. You think on it.

You are superb at crafting these contests and have always been our unofficial PFA Game Show Host. Should be official by now but I’m not management.

    Tossing it out there.

More than anything this might keep you from betting on Berrios. Like what the hell man?

Just realized I’ve been betting on these legal sites without listing pitchers on BetMGM. I spent a life with listed pitchers as a default.

AZ Padres had some switcheroo and openers. I have AZ F5 and am fine with Nelson. Openers gonna be more of a thing going forward so listed pitchers will have a marginally diminishing value.

The AZ RoY Corbin Carroll went off for 3 steals yesterday. I hate prop pricing but I need to get with the steal program. I actually took Acuna over 1.5 hits cause even a prop casual like me knew it was a layup.

I bled to death playing NHL props. Fun but the juice is retahded.

I’m staying off NHL til playoffs. Very very select spots might be an exception. Preserve the bankroll to fade Leafs.

    Ramble

I was 1000% right about Cueto. He gave up a leadoff HR, and then got bombed in the 2nd before leaving. Twins won 11-1, and are now 4-0.

St. Louis fell behind 6-1, got it to 6-3, and had 2 men on in the 5th, but came up empty. Still 6-3 now in the 7th. I'm not feeling this one, but it would be great to hit. Probably going 1-1.

Some pretty high scores we're seeing thus far, so that's something to watch. Recall that the shift is gone.

Exactly one under today in MLB

I was focused on the sox overs but it seems like its an epidemic.

    Added to my stable:

    Danny Willet 125/1
    Kurt Kitayama 110/1
Doubled down on Sungjae Im at 33/1

All my bets are each-way apart from Speith.

Was really tempted to do Collin Morikawa tbh but at 22/1 I’ll wait and maybe get him in-play.

Resisting the FOMO on Lowry this time around. I was thinking Jason Day for a long time but he hasn’t convinced me enough of late.

In the spirit of has-been pitchers to fade, here's another.

Kenta Maeda had some nice years with the Dodgers and Twins. Then came his Tommy John surgery, and he missed all of 2022. At age 34, he's trying to be relevant again. However, his fastball is averaging under 90 mph, and he walked 10 in 14 spring innings, giving up 8 runs in the process.

Who is he facing? One Sandy Alcantara, who had a mediocre first start (just like last year), but a great spring (0.68 ERA, 0.75 WHIP).

The Twins' perfect record ends today.

Miami (S. Alcantara) -138 vs Minnesota (Maeda)

    Sens/Carolina over 6 -120
    Philly/St Louis over 6.5 -110

    Jays -1.5 -110

San - like your idea. If our site had sponsors maybe Druff would chip in for a monthly prize.

    Alcantara pitched a gem.

Unfortunately the terrible Marlins can't score, and it's 1-0 in the 8th. Their closers are not good.

Wow CG for Alcantara. 2nd game of the season for him too!

    Old school.
