Tua 0-3 in games under 50 degrees. It's going to be 28 with a windchill of 17 at gametime. Winds 10-18mph

It s just a disgrace. The clock used to stop on all out of bounds plays until the next snap. Now they only do that last 2 mins of first half and 5 mins of 2nd half. They stop the clock for about 3 seconds nowadays on and out of bounds play or technically when the ball is placed at the line of scrimmage by the umpire.

They are super liberal to try and keep the clock going if the runner goes out of bounds but his “forward progress” was stopped in bounds. All you get nowadays is clock stoppage on incomplete passes. The Colts had no business ever throwing the ball, running out of bounds or not taking every single second on the play clock every single snap second half. It really is a disgrace of epic proportions.

What a fucking mess of a game. Biggest comeback in NFL history. Second sick moneyline beat in a short time in NFL.

Only silver lining is that I went 2-1 in NCAAB, so I'm even right now.

    2 games left for me

When Canter owned the Cosmo book I spent a lot of time there and was fairly friendly with the GM. I typically would never sit down during the super bowl, but he texted me that a guy who paid for the seat for the Atlanta/New England game was a no show and he rather have me sit there than some random person.

It was a celebration for basically 3 quarters for the Atlanta bettors. Hundreds of people were standing and the New England bettors were just kind of dejected & silent for the most part. Cocktails were flowing & then Atlanta starting running these stupid pass plays, not using the whole play clock, etc. The energy in the room began to shift. Super Bowl is a long game and the Atlanta bettors were changing from celebration mode to concerned mode to basically anger.

There were actual fights starting to break out. It was a site to see. The vibe in that room did a total 180 like I never seen. Even Frank Thomas was pissed off, I guess he is Atlanta guy. I later inquired how much Frank bet on the game, a whopping 5 K. He looked like he wanted to kill someone. I guess it’s not always about the amount.

Watching Matt Ryan run that offense today reminded me of that fucking disaster. Time to hang up the cleats. Time for Jeff Saturday to go back to TV.

Sorry Druff. You deserved a lot better. Was a great bet.

Yeah I turned that shit off at 30-0. Went to work out not paying attention, came back and saw on twitter it was just tied up in regulation. How in the fuck does that happen. I had my finger on a Vikes ML live bet too but was like yeah I'm not wasting any more money (had them in a ML parlay already. Unfuckingbelievable.

I had a Bills teaser, so not complaining about the result, but every time I see it decide a game, I feel they need to do something about the PI call where the QB underthrows the ball and the DB runs into the WR when he stops.

Ouch. Not a good day, despite going 2-1 in NCAAB.

0-1 in NCAAF, 0-2 in NFL. Both unders were a disaster. And then there was that Colts game...

BTW I was at The Bike playing poker, and we were all watching the Colts game on the giant TV. I told everyone about my moneyline pick, and I looked like a genius during the first half. One guy at the table kept popping off that the Vikings would come back, even when down 20-0. By the end, everyone simply felt bad for me, including the floorman. That game was the talk of the room. I will probably never see anything like it again in my lifetime.

This now marks two consecutive super-embarrassing 4th quarters. In one, they gave up 33 points in the final quarter after holding close for the first three. Then there was this fiasco. Matt Ryan sucks, the coaching sucks, and this team sucks.

Still looking at a few potential totals, but probably going to skip them.

Right now it might be just this moneyline dog and that's it.

Jacksonville +175 vs Dallas (+4 ok)

Been a heart breaking year and I won prob 25% on the bet I would have if this year wasn’t so brutal. I’m just glad I didn’t post a lot of my picks that’s didn’t go my way. Still gonna try to enjoy the W even if the windfall isn’t what I’d like it to be. Hope a few of you had it. Hoping this turns the tide for me going into next year. Got into a lot of coinflip situations. Lost all of them but two.

Stuck to my process and at least ended the year with a really nice solid win. Happy Holidays.

Anyone have a strong feeling on the Saints/Falcons and/or Pats/Raiders? Or Denver/Arizona? I have a 4 game lead in my 40 person pool and an 8 game lead in the money which I have to give so much credit to this thread for. Gonna pay about $2k for 1st so if I can hold the lead for a few more weeks its mine. Of course a generous free roll donation would be made if I win it. I already changed my pick to Jags today and during the season I've probably picked up 7-10 games just from this thread. These shitty games I listed I'm just not sure about. RN I have Saints, Broncos and Pats.

Daly unintentionally put weather totals on my radar. I think it started with Bahamas Bowl winds lo those many years ago. It has been a consistently positive opportunity for me ever since.

The weatherman whores for clicks like everyone else. Those who don’t understand the difference between a 4-3 vs a 3-4 defense can understand a snowball or wind. Sharps, ploppies & girlfriends all succumb. Weather is irresistible and thus fadable. It’s an over autobet in most circumstances - try to take it as late as possible - give every fool a chance to bet under.

The weather is never as bad as the weatherman, touts, and the talking heads believe it will be. The modern gloves solve a lot of legacy weather issues.

May my thoughts haunt you to your grave.

The Center on Poverty and Social Policy has a hockey pick I’d like to share.

    Chicago 1P stats
    1st Period Puckline - 1-13-2 L16
    1st Period Under 1.5 - 17-3 L20
    CHI 1st Period Team Total Under 0.5 - 16-4 L20

For live betters and legal books who offer more extensive derivatives
In the 2P, they are 13-1 to the 2Pov1.5 their last 14 games, with 9 of those 14 going over 2.5

    Caution: Goalies aren’t confirmed.
Rangers are a truck atm. Chicago is tanking as far as I’m concerned.

I missed showing the 1P under bet. You get the idea
    Hockey - 5 New York Rangers/Chicago Blackhawks under 1˝ +105 for 1st Period

Hockey has been wonky this year … I’m really trying to find a legitimate reason so I have something to offer the bankruptcy attorneys later.

You cant bet a MBF game in the snow 20 min before kickoff and expect to get an edge.

That said if you can find a place with player props and bet it a week out where its expected to be calm and then have 30MPH winds on game day its not the same.

I’m discussing games with headlines that are telegraphed in advance. These are the games I’m describing . Not some sudden unexpected event

Obviously and exactly to my point 20 minutes before the truth is revealed…. Like last night. That is my point.

Ok there is a tiny bit of art to the play. But it’s pretty brain dead easy for the most part
