Houston has Brandon Bielak going, who was running along just fine, but has been hammered in his past two starts, for a combined 10 earned runs in just 2 innings pitched.

On the other side, the Angels' Griffin Canning pitched well last time out, but had persistent command issues, and really only had that one good outing out of his past 5 appearances.

What's the over line? Just a paltry 7.5 runs.

I like it, even in 7 innings.

FYI the Dodgers have just been really tough after the 7th. Like maybe the best team ever from the 7th inning on (thus far), last night not withstanding.

I think some of the reason for this is because there's a lot of shit pitchers up right now (due to the expanded rosters of 2020), they can't do the left-right matchups anymore because of the 3-batter minimum, and the Dodgers have so many good hitters in that lineup that they can really pound you if you're not pitching well.

Robbie Ray is pitching for Toronto. He's been terrible this year, though oddly he's been striking people out at a high rate (43 K in 31 innings).

He was traded to the Blue Jays 6 days ago.

I considered betting against him, but the other pitcher was also awful, and Ray looked decent in relief in his last outing, so I decided to pass.

Right now it's 3-0 Boston in the 2nd. Oh well.
