Speaking of which I am cashing off Bookmaker Monday. Rubbish site. Poor software. The online wagering service is afraid to put up a line. One of the oddsmakers, Ray Marino, made a tour of the gambling shows during the no sports COVID phase. He gave us a glimpse into offshore bookmaking and that was appointment listening as it was such a rare thing.

I made a deposit as a result and smoked them on stock market props. They took that down. I fooled around with table tennis live which was sick fun too.

People actually gamble on places like this. People are so lazy. Bookmaker quit offering poker too. What is the point? Bovada is for dumb money but they offer poker. Sports just serves to fleece the poker $

no reason to be offshore living in NJ...i have access to like 10 books here...i only use 3 of the bigger ones (stars, DK, FD), but they seem to be decent enough pricewise...if i had druff's jew sense i'd open up all 10 to squeeze out every last penny...i know ill get paid and i know my money will never get taken...at least if any of that happens i have legal recourse...

honestly im trying not to fucking sports bet...been betting NBA totals, NHL 1Ps and golf...so much for that...

off topic but golf is interesting...won the last 2 weeks...will look at it again this week up in baaaaaaaaston...horses for courses and all that shit...majors seem to be the easiest...dont pay a shitton of juice and bet the guys who you know have the mental fortitude not to crack...the mental midgets or the guys having swing troubles are the easiest to pick on...maybe it's just the sun shining on a dog's ass...we'll see...

had a chance to look over what i wrote last night and mull over the lines...all of the mentions about past performance will be 2018-2015...tourney was not held at TPC boston in '19...

im really looking at two things...(1) horses for courses...does the guy play well at this place? if you have played golf at all you know that when you play some holes they just fit your eye and how you like to play and others don't...think that can be taken to a macro perspective for these guys...some courses suit their game while others just dont...(2) current form...

Taking:
dechamber -130 v rory (1 unit)...course history...fairly neutral...dechamber won in '18 and had a T30 in '17...rory's last 4 years have been T12-CUT-WIN-T29...im giving a huge edge to dechamber on recent performance...he has 5 top 10s out of 7 tourneys since the restart with a win and a T4 at the PGA...rory has been very average since the restart...no top 10s in 6 tourneys and he had a very meh PGA...130 feels like a shitton of juice to fucking choke on so not really enthusiastic about it, but i feel rory's play justifies it...
DJ -122 over X (1 unit)...both guys are playing well...DJs last 4 have been T2 (PGA)-T12 (WGC Memphis)-WD-CUT...he WD'ed with an injury and came back the next week and played well at memphis...he got CUT at the memorial and played like shit...might have gotten injured there that carried over to the next week...Xs last 4 were T10 (PGA)-T6 (WGC)-T13-T14...this one im betting on because of course performance...X has played here twice and gone T49-T53...DJ has gone T7-T18-T8-T44...i love X, think he's a fantastic player, but his two results here are telling to me...again 122 feels a touch pricey, but the horses for courses angle makes me feel fine about it...EDIT...down to -105 now...
day -118 over webb (2 units)...this is probably my favorite bet of the week...day's last 4 tourneys T4 (PGA)-T6 (WGC)-T4-T7...his last 4 at TPC boston...CUT-T25-T25-T12...webb has been playing well too..3 top 10s out of 7 tourneys post break with one win...he does have 2 cuts in there as well...his last 4 at TPC Boston...T49-T75-CUT-T44...last week he proved the whole horses for courses finishing T3 at the wyndham, a course that he just absolutely has owned throughout his career...this appears to be a place day is comfortable at and webb is not...day's recent form is excellent and like the price so going with a double here...
reed -112 over berger (1 unit)...berger has only played in 5 tourneys post restart, but has fucking smoked 'em...T13-T2-CUT-T3-WIN...started off hot at the PGA, but couldnt really make any putts on the weekend...reed has 3 top 10s outta 9 events post restart with 2 missed cuts...betting this one based on horses for courses...reed's last 4 at TPC boston...T35-T6-T5-T4...berger is T35-T61-T41-T12...i think reed is playing well enough (T9-T13-T47-T10 in last 4) to justify this bet...
english -106 over ricky (0.5 units)...went back and forth on this one, but ultimately want to bet against ricky...ricky has played in 7 tourneys post restart and it's been either YES or FUCK NO...he has 4 MCs and T15-T22-T12 when he's made the cut...english has played in 6 post restart with one MC and T23-T19 (PGA)-T18-T13-T17...so pretty solid results...my hesitancy comes from ricky's DNP-T13-T46-WIN at boston...english is DNP-DNP-T41-T12...im well aware that ricky could figure his shit out and shove a top 10 up my ass so only going with a half unit...
reed top 20 (+130) and day top 20 (+125) (0.25 unit each)

JT -132 over rahm...just dont like the price...like the side, but at 132 just dont feel theres value...
day -106 over morikawa...love day this week...but what i saw outta morikawa over the weekend at the PGA was fucking impressive for a 23 year old kid...this will be morikawa's first trip to TPC boston so dont know what to expect in that regard...if they laid me a price on day i would take it, but dont feel like laying any juice on this matchup...
DJ -118 over finau...both are playing well and both have a good course history...feels very coinflippy to me...not gonna pay 118 for a coinflip...
casey -137 over hovland...thought i'd like this one more...casey's last 4 in boston are T21-T4-2-WD...this is hovland's first go at TPC boston...i thought what would really sway me to casey was his recent form since he had a great PGA...but since the restart he's played 6 times...T31-T2 (PGA)-T67 (WGC)-CUT-CUT-T32...meh would probably be a compliment...hovland has played 8 times since the restart making all 8 cuts with only one top 10...again this is a price considered pass...like casey's side, but at 137 not interested...

Game Time Decision:
finau -142 over fleetwood...fleetwood has played in 4 events T59-T29-T35-CUT since coming back to the states...finau's last 4 have been T4 (PGA)-T65 (WGC)-T3-8...fleetwood has played in boston once with a T24...finau's last 4 in boston...T4-T65-T24-CUT...leaning towards pass here just cause i think the price is just way too expensive...i like finau a lot, but 142 is a shitton to pay...

agree with daly on brooks...thought about that...what has changed since the PGA when i was paying like $40 more to take him against tiger in the PGA? tiger hasn't played since then, might have not practiced that much...brooks didnt even sniff the cut in a fairly easy field on a fairly easy course last week...i love brooks and think he's an amazing player, but at some point you just have to impose your will in events like the wyndham...really smells like shit that he's only -132 against tiger on a course that he's done OK on the last two times he played (T12-T18)...

So today's Brewers/Twins game, I almost went with the Brew crew because Rich Hill is 40 and coming back from injury. I knew Hill from his years as a Dodger. The guy works hard and takes the game seriously, but he's 40 and can't stay healthy. When he's feeling good, he can still be a formidable opponent. He hasn't been feeling good. I had a feeling he was going to get battered.

However Brett Anderson sucks, and I just pictured him getting beat down by the Twins offense.

So I elected the over instead.

So far Hill is getting knocked as expected, but Anderson has been solid. Would like 5 more runs early so I can turn it off.
