I think that 16 team playoff garbage was in response to the fact there are going to be A LOT of teams just throwing in the towel this year. Just constantly fading the shit teams could actually be profitable. Giants, O's, Detroit, Miami, Pitt....probably Boston as well, as San was talking about earlier. Sox are just scary cause they do still have a few hitters that can dominate a game.

I would have included Searles's Royals, but they are throwing Singer to the wolves and starting him game 2, service time be damned. Seems like they are actually trying.

Damn. I vowed to stay away from sports for this year just to insulate myself from all the activism that would just annoy me. But after basically 1 day already starting to waver.

I also have an 8 year old son who is way too addicted to Roblox right now, who actually enjoys watching sports with me, and getting him to watch sports with me just to put something else on his mind would probably be good for him.

I wish there was a way to just blur/mute out all the activism. I cancelled all my sports packages in protest already, but If they had NBA/NFL/NCAAF packages that just muted/blurred out all the activism I would pay a pretty heavy premium for that.

I agree that the activism is annoying. The problem is that the cancel mob has gotten so strong that it's now pretty much required to pay lip service to BLM, or otherwise you get slaughtered on social media. I doubt MLB gives two shits about the cause, but they have to go through the motions to appease everyone.

The line taken by Bellinger and Muncy was interesting. Everyone knelt for the "moment of silence" before the game. Okay, fine. Then the anthem played, and Mookie Betts remained on his knee. Bellinger and Muncy got up and stood for the anthem, but each leaned an arm on Betts.

They had to have decided this beforehand. What to do if you're a relatively new baseball star with marketing potential, and don't want to piss off either side? That was the answer.

So stupid that they even had to consider this.

My son, who is 9, is also obsessed with Roblox. Parents everywhere are dealing with the same thing. I don't worry too much about him seeing the activism at this age. He doesn't care about that crap, nor do most kids. They find it boring. I'm just always on the lookout for any indoctrination he runs into, and I try to debunk it, but there really hasn't been much yet -- or at least not much which has stuck with him.

Pirates Bullpen is a big ? so i took the +1.5 -120. Musgrove is a diamond in the rough if you ask me. He developed 2 new pitches over the offseason.
