Zverev promised at the start of the tournament to donate the entire prize purse to Aussie Fire Relief if he wins. That could be $4m. He was never a preflop threat to take it down. Cinderella I think it was a little bit of shit talk at first.
He’s gotta be sick right now.
His father was a Russian pro. Had to give his winnings to the state so this is a family tradition - lol but interesting.
Here’s the thing. I saw the match and watched the post game on court interview. He was stunned. He was asked if he was still gonna keep his word. He had a momentary seizure.
