I hated that decision to kick the FG up 21-0 with 4 and short. It’s considered the prudent move to keep adding on by conservative coaches, but imo sends the completely wrong message when you’re the underdog blowing out the favorite. You take your guys aside and say “no one believed in us but I did and I have faith you’ll get this yard.” You run the risk of them getting a stop and a boost but I’d always err on the side of aggression in that spot. Right after you send the offense out you gather the defense and tell them you trust them enough to make a stop if it backfires. It’s all psychological on the road as a dog. The minute they kicked the FG I thought here comes the comeback.

As I’m typing this the announcers are in my head saying the same. Rare good observation. They may win by a FG, but I hated it.

I go back and forth on the FG...I kinda liked it at the time...didn't want to give the chiefs any MO there, but yeah if you want to win a super bowl you should be able to find your balls and get a yard there...
