The stupid state of Massachusetts approves betting just prior to beginning of nfl season but still no betting allowed! All I have is my weekly pool picking winners where I have a 5 game lead at 56-25. I had 49ers and Cards until I saw Druff's picks so of course I had to change them both. I also have Dallas which I'm not so sure about except Micah Parsons seems to be the best defensive player since Lawrence Taylor. Anyone else like Dallas at Phily tonight?
“Beware the public dog.”
I dont go big on Sundays but ill be on saints, steelers, bills and rams.
Teasing up Sea, NE, GB & Jax (leaving out KC).
Feel like “by the numbers” Lamar will have over 212 passing yards most times they play this game.
Went to parlay Pats up to 8 and GB down to 2, but their geolocation app won’t work and I didn’t get down. That’s usually a guaranteed winner.
Parlay -115
Eagles -½
Patriots +8½
Happy about Zappe
I hope Tom Brady secretly wanted divorced and didn’t want the kids to think he didn’t love their mom and that’s why he won’t retire. I’ve never thrown dirt on him, but he really appears to be human and old. They’ll probably win this one, but lots of passes falling short in cooler weather.
I’m an hour from Cleveland. Everyone loves this team that loves baseball, but baseball is entirely an old man sport. I’ve been around young people a bit lately and they don’t even know it’s going on.
I was jumping into thread to say whatever live total over is, jump on it, but bills went and scored a TD. Just had that feel of a game that goes 7-3 halftime and ends up 30-27
Falcons underrated all year by the books.
Nice to have a winning day locked up already.
Glad some of you have been tailing. Dolphins under got way closer at end than it should have.
Go Seahawks!
There once was. I remember those days. Sadly the Southie of Matt Damon’s “Good Will Hunting” (1997) and Mobster Whitey Bulger is now biotech, overpriced restaurants and luxury condos.
The completion of The Big Dig in 2008 (think Elon Musk’s Boring Company) marked the line of demarcation between old Southie and new.

"Do you like apples?!?" Good Will Hunting in my top 5 movies all time. The Boston allure was more drawing to me than NY City of the East Coast cities. Something about those NBA pregame videos of the Boston Garden, the train, etc. Huge Larry Bird fan here growing up.
Tell me a few things in the New England are are must sees for a So Cal guy that loves seafood and the outdoors.
Need Eagles under tonight to make it a 5-0 NFL week (going back to Thursday). 3-0 today, up 4 units so far, since I hit both dogs.
I don't understand how I'm doing this.
Pretty strong that country978 reversed his own pick because of me. Glad it worked out.
Southie story
When I was a kid I had a side gig at 425 Summer Street. 10 story commercial building owned by Arthur Pappas. Building was largely vacant & relatively new in the late 1990’s. It was built absolutely lowest bid. Very sketchy. The owner just needed to hang on til the redevelopment in that area started and he’d sell and buy a small island in the Caribbean or some such shit.
The building control systems were from a defunct supplier and I was literally the only one alive who knew both how to keep it running and willing to deal with the headache.
I’d come in on a Saturday time and materials for green money. The building engineer would come in with his dog and go up on the roof and smoke a cigar and read the paper in the sun while I did my thing. He was on overtime so everyone is groovin’.
Well, the building wasn’t far from the fish pier. One Saturday the bldg engineer’s dog spots a seagull and took off … over the side of the building and ten floors down.
Brutal.
You aren’t a huge NFL fan, are you?
When I first got into the premier league like a decade ago, I had a year where I feel like I hit 85%. I didn’t have any pre-conceived notions or bias. I was just betting on the number and what I saw. It’s really hard to separate opinions on the past when you’re an avid viewer. Like I would have bet the Packers today because the Packers always win that game and the Jets are the Jets. That ignores I just saw the Giants smoke them last week.
I would have chalked it up to jet lag or whatever. Right now you’re just seeing value while I’m thinking Marcus Mariota against SF defense with no points? Fuck no. Because I’ve been following him since he was 19 years old and have always had a negative opinion of his game. The other two this afternoon were just good bets. Hope your late one hits. You’re killing it.
