Otherwise college football bowl season was a complete bust, can’t remember one other game I really watched it was interested in. How could you bet them? Who has all day to look up which guys are playing and who is sitting? Didn’t Syracuse play their tight end at qb? Just a mockery. I am old enough to remember when Bowl Season was a triumphant time and something people really enjoyed, including the players

I haven’t watched any college bowls but I agree with you.
CFB has undergone changes that were unimaginable to the casual fan 5 years ago. It will take a bit for the landslide changes in the business of college football to adjust and find itself.
It might finally be time to shitcan the last vestige of the world before and divorce the NCAA. They resisted change and aren’t likely to be responsive. It’s prolly time.
College football becoming the XFL is a risk. Sadly, most leagues (MLB, NBA, NFL) make consistently poor short sighted choices to their own detriment. College football may be no wiser. We will see.
