I was up til the wee hours watching and wagering Nole & Sinner.

I had a “Djoker to not win AO ticket” . My pre tournament lean was a definite help. As you know, Djoker never broke Sinner but the fluffy public live money was all over Djoker. My future helped me see what others denied. Some of the prices were insanely stupid. Down 2 sets and during the tie-break in the 3rd I swear Djoker was favored for the match. I just kept taking more and more Sinner. He was so clearly in control. Sinner lost the tie-break but I really wasn’t too worried. Djoker was a continuous litany of unforced errors. People kept texting me asking, “do we take Djoker here?” This gave me confidence too that there was inherent Sinner value - I just had to keep buying.

The sports books must have killed it last night.

Fantastic night for me. I took quite a few preflop AO losses to this point. Not a lot of live play for me this year. Sinner was so clearly “the guy” last night and THE PRICES SO WRONG I didn’t feel irresponsible taking a big firm position. Turned my AO frown upside down.

Nick Kyrgios was fantastic in the booth. Self deprecating and funny. Nicknaming Medvedev “Dr Octopus” and the “Slim Reaper”. I just couldn’t make it til dawn here. Live tennis AO tennis is god but it’s a physically hard jam night after night.

I can’t believe Jannik Sinner is only 6’2” (Slim Reaper 6’6”) Sinner needs a sandwich. The legs look like toothpicks.

Great stuff. Gimme your pick for finals

Pickleball: Who do you like in the final? tennisinsight.com has Mededev's chances of winning 59 to 66%. Sinner 33% to 42%. This is some type of computer program. I will post a screen shot.

Here is a screen shot of a website called tennisinsight.com
This site once thrived with paid members but it is a shadow of itself.
Frankly I do not know who created the tennis app to analyze the players performances.
The program does give you H2H data and several prior matches.
If you click on Activity, it gives some type of ratings. There are partial screen shots for both players
There is data dating back to the results of many tournaments that the players played in.

According to the activity, Sinner, has the higher numbers under the Statistical Summary.
These computer models do not factor in how many hours a player has been on the court, if they are playing with an injury, if Taylor Swift is sitting in the player's box, oh wait, the is the NFL, etc.

Even though Tennis Insight stats favor Medvedev, I like Sinner in 4 sets.
Thinking that Sinner drops the first set due to nerves as a first time Grand Slam Finalist and wins Sets 2, 3, 4.
The "value" in my opinion, would be on Medvedev, at +230 but I still like Sinner to win it.

    @NHL Whisperer

    VGK +138 @ NYR

Pressed for time. Readers Digest version. Two teams which have reversed their trends. Previously VGK was struggling with injuries and NYR was top top. Now VGK is 4 of last 5. NYR has lost 7 of last 10.

If you had asked me my gut I woulda leaned NYR but whose the ploppie, huh Druff?

    Take a look.

Glad to hear you cleaned up San!! I was super bummed that match started 3:30am my time

Would be interested to see what sort of prices you were getting. I know what you mean but it’s never easy laying Djokovic lol especially at AO. I’ve seen plenty of matches in the past where he’s playing like a drunk and then finds a way to play himself into God mode

As for the final, unfortunately I can only see one winner due to court time and recent results: Sinner easy. I think the odds reflect that. He doesn’t even strike me as the sort to get that nervous in his first slam final, given his post match interview

I like both players but I will be pulling for Daniil and most importantly a good competitive match. I wouldn’t rule that man out of being able to perform another miracle! I may even wait and have a bet on him in play at big odds

By the way, the Octopus nickname at least came from someone else originally, he talked about it with Babs in the post match interview. But yes, Kyrgios is the nuts.🔩

Last time Medvedev was in the Aus Open I made bank backing my hero Mr Nadal at 7/1 at 2-0 down ☺️

Luca Doncic 73. Zero defense in that joke of a league. Someone must be crushing player props using ladders. Anyone know some stories of bettors smashing?

I remember 40 from MJ being a big deal.

All Star Game gonna be a lower total than a regular season game. Lol

    Medvedev with the early break!

Sinner nervous now, Medvedev playing super agg, not letting him settle, could be an early night… hopefully he lets fly now he has nothing to lose

Edit: strong hold. Moxy back. Sinner in-play is definitely the value atm

That said he’s struggling big time on the Medvedev serve

Nope. Medvedev playing out of his skin. Stark contrast in service games.

Sinner looks like a deer in headlights

If Sinner serves better like he’s done in this set he has a chance. Vs Djoko his serve was superb

Just the return games letting him down now, he’s not putting Medvedev under pressure at all at 0-15 or 15-15

Medvedev looking tired; more free points coming sinner’s way from the forehand and not serving anywhere near as well as first two sets

I think if Sinner wins this set he wins the match

Is Med really going to blow another AO final when winning the first two sets?

After losing that heartbreaker at 15-30 he should have won and going 40-30
